Topic: NFL Pro Bowl
Nashville, TN – Arguably the most significant reason for optimism in the Tennessee Titans camp is the play of Marcus Mariota, who completed his second NFL season in 2016.
As a first alternate for the NFL Pro Bowl, the former second-overall pick would have been the sixth Titan to receive an invitation for the all-star game had he been physically able to participate.
His season came to an end when he fractured his right fibula at the Jacksonville Jaguars on December 24th, which required surgery to correct. He was placed on injured reserve in Week 17.
Nashville, TN – Mike Mularkey helped the Tennessee Titans achieve a reversal rarely seen in the 57-year history of the organization. He became the second coach to take over the team and in his first full-time season deliver at least six more wins than the previous year.
Sid Gillman was the first to accomplish the feat with the 1974 club that went 7-7 one year after finishing 1-13.

Nashville, TN – Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Mularkey wasted little time in defining the sought-after characteristics of players on his roster. “Smart, tough, physical, coachable and accountable” was how he put it at his opening press conference in January, and the sentiment was echoed in the subsequent months by Robinson.
The winnowing process began with the offseason program from April through June. It continues when players report following a six-week break, and then there are only two weeks from the initial training camp practice to August 13th, when the Titans host the San Diego Chargers in the first of four preseason games.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans have agreed to a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles that will send running back DeMarco Murray to Nashville, TN. The teams will swap fourth-round picks in this year’s NFL Draft, with the Titans moving from the second pick to the 15th pick in the round.
A five-year veteran of the league and two-time Pro Bowler (2013 & 14), Murray was the NFL’s rushing champion and NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 2014, when he rushed for 1,845 yards and led the Dallas Cowboys to their first playoff appearance since 2009.
