Nashville, TN – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Joe Piskula from the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) and placed forward Filip Forsberg on injured reserve.
Piskula, 29 (7/5/84), has five assists, 12 penalty minutes and a +3 rating while appearing in all 18 of the Admirals 2013-14 contests. He was the last defenseman assigned to Milwaukee before the start of the regular season on September 29th.
Philadelphia Flyers vs. Nashville Predators

Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators host the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday night in Music City for their only appearance in Nashville for the 2013-14 season. Nashville will travel to Philly on January 16th, 2014.
These two teams played twice during the 2011-12 season, as the home team won each contest.
The Predators are coming off a 3-0 loss to Edmonton on Thursday night, despite putting 33 shots on goal. Shea Weber tied Mike Fisher for the team lead in shots on goal (five), a season high for both. Weber also left the game with an upper body injury late in the second period, and didn’t return.
Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators played host to the Edmonton Oilers on Thanksgiving night in “Smashville” and the visitors rudely disrupted the festivities.
Behind his first start in goal for the Oilers, Ilya Bryzgalov stopped all 33 shots he faced from the Predators, and Edmonton came away with the road victory, 3-0.
Bryzgalov was making his debut for Edmonton tonight, and his first start in the NHL since April 25th, when he was a member of the Philadelphia Flyers.

Last year, Nashville posted a 1-3-1 record against Columbus, but are 50-17-7 against them all-time, and 20-12-3 at the Columbus home ice.
The Predators open the fourth of 14 sets of back-to-backs this season, then return to Nashville on Thanksgiving night to face Edmonton. Nashville’s 14 sets of two-games-in-two nights are five more than last year, and the Predators are 1-2-0 in the opening game and 2-1-0 on the back side of back-to-back tilts.
Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators got off to a fast start, then hung on for the win, defeating the Phoenix Coyotes 4-2 at Bridgestone Arena, Monday night.
Nick Spalling, Mike Fisher and Gabriel Bourque got Nashville out front 3-0, and the Predators never looked back, as Marek Mazanec continued his solid play in goal, turning away 29 shots on goal.
The Coyotes have now lost three in a row.
Phoenix Coyotes vs. Nashville Predators

Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators and Phoenix Coyotes face-off Monday night, for the first of two meetings on Bridgestone Arena ice this season. Nashville holds a 15-10-3 advantage all-time in their home barn, but the Coyotes have won three of the last four meetings in the Music City.
The Predators opened their recent 17-day road trip at Jobing.com Arena on Halloween night, as Nashville jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first period. The Coyotes would storm back through the final 40 minutes to force overtime, before Mikael Boedker scored in the fifth round of the shootout to defeat the Predators, 5-4.
Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators just couldn’t get on the scoreboard Saturday night against the visiting New York Rangers, as the Predators fell to the blueshirts 2-0 at Bridgestone Arena.
Rangers back-up goalie Cam Talbot stopped all 17 shots he faced on the night from Nashville, and recorded the shut-out while giving New York starter Henrik Lundqvist a rest.
Shots on goal were a big part of the story on tonight’s game as the Rangers out-shot Nashville 2-1, recording 34 shots on goal, to Nashville’s 17.

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators are on a hot streak right now, and they hope to continue their strong play when the New York Rangers visit the Music City on Saturday night.
The Predators are coming off a 4-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs Thursday night at Air Canada Centre, and with that, posted it’s first three-game winning streak this season. Nashville is looking to defeat the fourth Original Six team in as many games when the “Blueshirts” visit “Smashville.”

Nashville was led by Craig Smith who scored two goals on the night. His first, at 16:25 of the second period on a Predators power-play, and at 4:32 of the third, gave Nashville their third and fourth goals of the night.
