The Canes drew first blood just 23 seconds into the game, when Justin Faulk scored on a slap shot from the point to make it 1-0.
The Predators would tie the game on Mike Fisher’s tip of a Victor Bartley slap shot past Carolina goalie Justin Peters, just 50 seconds into the second period.

The Predators are coming off a 4-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs Thursday night at Air Canada Centre, and with that, posted it’s first three-game winning streak this season. Nashville is looking to defeat the fourth Original Six team in as many games when the “Blueshirts” visit “Smashville.”

Craig Smith led the way for the Predators with a goal and two assists, as Nashville broke out of their scoring slump, and got great goaltending from Marek Mazanek who stopped 33-35 shots on goal.

Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators return home to the friendly confines of the Bridgestone Arena, after a franchise record road trip, to face the Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, Saturday night.
Last time out, Nashville lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins, 4-1.
Nashville posted the first goal of the game for the first time in three games, as Gabriel Bourque tipped in a Kevin Klein shot. It was Bourque’s second goal of the season, and Klein’s first point/assist since April 23rd, 2013 vs. Calgary.
Nashville, TN - The Predators make the second of three trips to the Central Division’s northern-most city on Friday night. The Predators have earned at least a point in 10 of 11 games against the team formerly known as the Thrashers since 2005-06, going 8-1-2 in that span. Overall, Nashville is 4-2-3 on the road against the Thrashers/Jets.
These two teams met in Winnipeg on Oct. 20th, in the Predators first-ever regular-season trip to Winnipeg. The Predators got goals from Eric Nystrom, Patric Hornqvist and Matt Cullen, while Carter Hutton recorded his first career win, turning aside 38-of-39 shots, to defeat the Jets, 3-1.

Nashville has won 11-of-20 games against the Kings since the beginning of the 2008-09 season (11-8-1). The Kings are the only Western Conference team that the Predators have a winning record against on the road (14-11-3), but a losing record against at home (10-14-4).

Since the start of the 2003-04 campaign the Predators are 19-13-(1)-2 against Phoenix, while posting an 8-8-2 mark at Jobing.com Arena during that span.
Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators had their chances but couldn’t get the puck past St. Louis goaltender Jaroslav Halak Saturday night at Bridgestone Arena, and the Blues defeated the Predators 6-1.
St. Louis has now won a franchise best four straight games in Smashville that dates back to February 2012 and have won seven of the last eight against Nashville.
Alexander Steen was on a tear for the Blues as he scored his ninth and tenth goals of the season, surpassing his total of eight goals he scored last year. Steen has five goals in four games and has scored in eight of the Blues nine games on the season.
