Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police have made an arrest in the homicide of James Wells, 30, of Clarksville occurring at the The Verge, 1523 Nolen Road.

The investigation revealed the homicide occurred during a drug transaction. The suspect identified as Shundarion Taylor met with the victim, James Wells, to purchase drugs and during the course of the transaction an altercation ensued and James Wells was fatally shot in the back.

Shundarion Taylor has been arrested by Clarksville Police for the shooting death of James Wells.

Clarksville Police investigating Shooting Death on Nolen Road

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Around 10:00pm, on Tuesday, June 5th, 20187 Clarksville Police Officers responded to a shooting that had already occurred in the 1500 block of Nolen Road.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a male in his late 20s inside of a vehicle who had been shot.

He was transported by ambulance to Tennova Healthcare and, at some point died from his injuries.

Clarksville Street Department to close Old Trenton Road Thursday, September 21st

 

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Street Department will close Old Trenton Road on Thursday, September 21st, 2017 beginning at 9:00am until 3:00pm, weather permitting.

The road will be closed between Nolen Road and Wilma Rudolph Boulevard for street maintenance.

APSU student-athlete recovering from injuries suffered in off-campus incident

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University officials are aware of an off-campus shooting that occurred at approximately 12:40am Sunday. The incident occurred at The Grove apartment complex on Nolen Road.

The shooting resulted in multiple wounds sustained by a football student-athlete. He was transported to a medical facility, where he has undergone multiple surgeries and is expected to recover. The incident is still under investigation by Clarksville Police Department.

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Sunday morning, August 23rd, 2015 at 12:40am, Clarksville Police Officers responded to a shots fired call on Nolen Road. There was one victim from the shooting.

The suspect is Marcus Mitchell from Clarksville. He was booked into Montgomery County jail and charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Possession, and Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia. His total bond amount is $30,500.

Clarksville Police extradite Homicide Suspect from North Carolina

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On March 3rd, 2012, Clarksville Police officers responded to a shots fired call at Building 6, 1523 Nolen Road. When officers entered the apartment they found Shardae Wright deceased in the bathtub from gunshot wounds. The suspect in the shooting, Nicholas Rico Durant fled the area and was later picked up by the North Carolina Highway Patrol around 10:00am.

On March 9th, 2012, around 2:45pm, Nicholas Rico Durant was extradited from North Carolina. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and charged with the death of Shardae Wright.
