35th Annual Queen City Road Race is this Saturday

Clarksville, TN – The 35th Annual Queen City Road Race, scheduled for this Saturday, May 4th, is quickly approaching. Be aware that as the 5K and 7K race routes take runners through the streets of Historic Downtown Clarksville, there will be several road closures to accommodate the safety of the runners.
The south bound lane of North 2nd Street to Main Street will be closed as well as the eastbound lane of College Street, and University Avenue to 8th Street. Clarksville Police DUI Arrests for March 18th-March 23rd, 2013

Clarksville, TN – In an effort to bring more attention to drivers that drink and drive, the Clarksville Police Department is consolidating and publishing the circumstances which lead to the DUI arrest. They are arrests, not convictions.
The week started off great and there were no DUIs from the 18th to the 23rd , then things went downhill. There were a total of 15 for the week.

Clarksville, TN – In an effort to bring more attention to drivers that drink and drive, the Clarksville Police Department is consolidating and publishing the circumstances which lead to the DUI arrest. They are arrests, not convictions. Clarksville Police had 751 DUI arrests for 2012.
Police made 10 DUI arrests from February 19th thru February 25th, 2013.
 Dawn Britt, Clifford Campbell , Danny Debord, Zuo Gao, Ronald Johnson, Timothy McGowan, Luis Ramos, David Rogers, Leo Thompson, and Linda Woodhouse were arrested over the weekend by Clarksville Police for DUI.

Clarksville Gas and Water announces College Street Lane Closure

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has closed the eastbound lane of College Street to traffic from North 1st Street to North 2nd Street for natural gas line maintenance. The lane will be closed until approximately 2:30pm.
Motorists are advised to be alert and aware of workers and equipment when approaching the work zone and to slow down and obey directional signs.
