Nashville, TN – Derek Carr passed for 330 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winner with less than two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, helping the Oakland Raiders exit a soggy Nissan Stadium with a 24-21 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, November 29th, 2015.
Carr completed 24 of 37 passes without throwing an interception on a rainy afternoon in which his counterpart, Titans rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota, was victimized by two costly interceptions. Mariota’s second pickedoff pass came in Oakland territory with 43 seconds on the clock to end the Titans’ hopes of pulling out a dramatic win.

Nashville, TN – There have been 48 all-time regular season and postseason games between the Tennessee Titans and the Oakland Raiders organizations, two of the original eight members of the American Football League. This week marks the 11th time the clubs have met in the preseason.
They are currently tied 5-5 in the preseason series, which began in 1961 with a contest in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Nashville, TN – Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Mularkey wasted little time in defining the sought-after characteristics of players on his roster. “Smart, tough, physical, coachable and accountable” was how he put it at his opening press conference in January, and the sentiment was echoed in the subsequent months by Robinson.
The winnowing process began with the offseason program from April through June. It continues when players report following a six-week break, and then there are only two weeks from the initial training camp practice to August 13th, when the Titans host the San Diego Chargers in the first of four preseason games.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans open the 2016 regular season at home against the Minnesota Vikings on September 1th1 and host the Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos on December 11th. The Titans also will appear in a Thursday night primetime contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Nissan Stadium on October 27th.
“Opening up with Minnesota, a playoff team, will be good test for us at home,” said Titans head coach Mike Mularkey. “We haven’t opened up at home since 2012, it will be nice for our fans – opening day for our fans, there is nothing like it.”
