Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department to take part in Summer Food Service Program

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – During the duration of the City’s Summer Youth Program, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will be participating in the Summer Food Service Program.

At 13 of the 15 program sites (all sites excluding Crow Recreation Center and Sango Elementary School) meals will be provided to all children without charge.

Clarksville Police release Storm Damage Report

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Strong winds from the early Tuesday morning storm brought down trees that damaged several buildings and injured two people. The local emergency operations center was activated shortly before 6:00am and remained open until 10:00am.

Forty-two storm-related calls-for-service were logged.

Falling trees damaged two house trailers on Riley Road, trapping several people inside one of the homes.

Mid South Softball AssociationClarksville, TN – MSSA-CGSA Fast Pitch Softball online registration is going on now. The deadline for online registration is February 23rd, 2017.

The registration fee is $70.00 per child, $3.00 online registration fee, multi-child discount $55.00 for each child after the first. You can register online at www.midsouthsa.com

MSSA-CGSA is the only girls fastpitch league in Clarksville without boundaries. Girls from the ages of 5 to 23 from Clarksville and its surrounding counties come to have fun and learn the game of softball using ASA rules.

Clarksville Police reports Single Vehicle Crash and Road Closure at Old Russellville Pike and Centennial Drive

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Currently the Clarksville Police Department is investigating a single vehicle crash at the intersection of Old Russellville Pike and Centennial Drive.

Apparently the vehicle struck a utility pole and power lines are across the road and have completely closed Old Russellville Pike until further notice. The Clarksville Police Department is asking that vehicles avoid the area until further notice.

CPD and other agencies are working to clear the road as soon as possible.
