Austin Peay State University’s Chantelle Grey wins 800m at OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships

Charleston, IL- Senior Chantelle Grey won the 800m run for Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team on the final day of the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships at Lantz Arena, lifting the Lady Govs after a disappointing first-day showing.

The Lady Govs 44 team points placed them eighth overall. Southeast Missouri’s women scored 101 points to win the women’s indoor title over runner-up Tennessee State (95 points) and host Eastern Illinois (88 points).

Charleston, IL – At the end of Day One at the 2013 Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team finds itself with a lot of ground to make up.

The Lady Govs sit in seventh after the first round of events, with 13 team points.

APSU Sports: Austin Peay Women’s Track and Field

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team heads north for the 2013 Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Eastern Illinois, at Lantz Arena, beginning at 1:30, Friday.

The two-day event marks the 28th year OVC squads have competed for an indoor championship.

Nashville, TN – After a promising start, Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team finished seventh at 2012 Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Tennessee State at the Gentry Center.

Nashville, TN – Senior Tanesha Campbell, of the Austin Peay State University women’s indoor track and field team became an individual champion in the shot put and put the Lady Govs in second place after Day One of the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, Friday.

Austin Peay Lady Govs Track and Field in Nashville, Saturday for Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships

APSU Sports: Austin Peay Women’s Track and Field

Clarksville, TN – It’s the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship, beginning Friday, for Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team, hosted by Tennessee State at the Gentry Center.

The two-day championship features 16 events, beginning Friday with the long jump, high jump, shot put, distance medley relay and 5,000-meter finals. Also on Friday are the prelim races in the 55-meter hurdles, 800-meter run, 400-meter dash, 55-meter dash, high hurdles and 200-meter dash.

Last chance for Lady Govs track and field at Redhawk Invite

Clarksville, TN – With the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships looming, Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team will be looking to fine tune at its final regular-season indoor event, Southeast Missouri’s Redhawks Invitational, in Cape Girardeau, MO.

The Lady Govs will join Southeast Missouri, Murray State and Memphis, among others in the small indoor meet with hopes of establishing consistency in a number of events. Unlike other indoor events, the Redhawks Invitational will feature shortened events such as the 300-meter dash, the 600-meter run and the 1000-meter run.
