Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s baseball team defeated SIU Edwardsville 16-5, on May 18th at Raymond C. Hand Park, to sweep its three-game Ohio Valley Conference series versus the Cougars.
With the win, the 12th in a row to end the regular season, the Governors earn a second place finish in the OVC regular season standings – which gives Austin Peay a first-round bye in the OVC tournament in Jackson, TN.

APSU’s P.J. Torres One of Three OVC Catchers Named to Johnny Bench Award Watch List

Brentwood, TN – Three Ohio Valley Conference catchers are on the official watch list for the 2013 Johnny Bench Award presented by BaseballSavings.com, the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission announced recently.
The three players are Eastern Kentucky junior Sean Hagen, Austin Peay junior P.J. Torres and Tennessee Tech junior Jordan Parris.

Clarksville, TN – Following a six-day break for finals, Austin Peay’s baseball team returns to action when it travels to UT Martin for a three-game Ohio Valley Conference series scheduled to begin with a 6:00pm, Friday contest at Skyhawk Field.

Austin Peay’s Tyler Rogers sets OVC Single-Season Baseball Record for Saves
Clarksville, TN — Tyler Rogers picked up saves in both ends of Austin Peay State University’s baseball doubleheader, April 24th at Raymond C. Hand Park, to set a new Ohio Valley Conference single-season record – but more importantly help the Govs win both game against the University of Evansville 3-1 and 3-2.
