Clarksville, TN – The Rossview High School wrestling team came away with two wins out of it three home opening matches, December 5th, as they dropped a tightly contested match to a very good private school program in Franklin Road Academy 43-26; before rebounding to defeat Glencliff High 77-6 and Sycamore High 65-18.
In its opening match versus Franklin Road Academy the Hawks got off to a slow start versus the Panthers in dropping their first six matches, before Dominic Cerillo got Rossview on the board with a pin at the 3:30 mark in the 105-pound weight class.
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team dropped its second straight Ohio Valley conference match at the Dunn Center, Oct. 26th, as the Eastern Illinois State University Panthers defeated the Lady Govs 3-1, by scores of 25-20, 25-27, 25-22, 25-19.
Clarksville, TN - A pair of familiar foes will visit the Dunn Center when Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team hosts SIU Edwardsville and Eastern Illinois in a pair of Ohio Valley Conference matches. The Lady Govs face the Cougars in a 7:00pm, Friday contest before a Noon, Saturday contest against Eastern Illinois.
Austin Peay begins 2014 with 17 of its first 20 games at Raymond C. Hand Park, including the season-opening series against Iowa, Feb. 14th-16th. It is the second consecutive season the Hawkeyes have visited Clarksville to start a campaign.

Austin Peay (8-15, 5-2 OVC) has struggled on the road this season with just one win in seven previous road outings.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University Governors Football is still seeking its first 2013 victory as they travel to Murray State to take on the Racers Saturday, October 19th.
The Governors enter the contest with 21 straight road losses. Their last road victory came against Tennessee State, a 26-23 verdict, September 18th, 2010.
Clarksville, TN – For the final time in the 2013 regular season, Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team will host an Ohio Valley Conference foe at Morgan Brothers Field, 7:00pm, Friday, when Morehead State visits Clarksville.
The Lady Govs then begin a three-game road trip to conclude the OVC slate with a 12:00pm (CT), Sunday visit to Eastern Kentucky.

Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators are hoping to make it two in a row when the Florida Panthers come to the Bridgestone Arena Tuesday night for a 7:00pm face-off.
This is the 19th all-time meeting between the clubs dating back to October 10th, 1998, when the Predators played their inaugural game at Bridgestone Arena.
The Predators are an even 8-7-(3)-0 in the previous 18 games, but have claimed five-of-seven games since the start of the 2007-08 campaign. On home ice, the Predators are unbeaten in seven games dating back to October 27th, 2000, winning five and tying twice in that span.
