Parks and Rec offers youth programs, computerized program registration

The Winter Gym Program is underway at Byrns-Darden Elementary. The school’s gym will be open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for basketball free play. This gym is offered in addition to the city’s three community centers and is staffed with a supervisor. This program is one of many listed in the Department’s Recreation Guide.

A partnership with the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System enables Parks and Recreation to offer this facility to users free of charge but every user must register on site. Children under the age of 13 must also be accompanied by a responsible adult. Participants are asked to use the new entrance to the school on Peachers Mill Road.
