Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators met the Colorado Avalanche at the Pepsi Center ice just a month ago on October 4th, as the Avs downed the Preds, 3-1.
Colorado took an early 2-0 lead on goals from P.A. Parenteau and Patrick Bordeleau, but the Preds cut the margin in half when Paul Gaustad tallied at 14:10 of the second period. The Preds kept the pressure on late in the game, but Parenteau’s empty-netter with 1:12 remaining secured the victory for the Avs.

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators and Los Angeles Kings meet for the second of their three-game 2013-14 slate on Saturday, November 2nd, in Los Angeles, CA.
Nashville has won 11-of-20 games against the Kings since the beginning of the 2008-09 season (11-8-1). The Kings are the only Western Conference team that the Predators have a winning record against on the road (14-11-3), but a losing record against at home (10-14-4).

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators last visited Jobing.com Arena on January 28th, 2013, when the Coyotes shut out the Predators 4-0. The ‘Yotes got goals from Antonie Vermette, Lauri Korpikoski, Nick Johnson and Keith Yandle, while Chad Johnson made 21 saves on the night.
Since the start of the 2003-04 campaign the Predators are 19-13-(1)-2 against Phoenix, while posting an 8-8-2 mark at Jobing.com Arena during that span.
Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators and St. Louis Blues face-off on Bridgestone Arena ice on Saturday night for the first time in 2013-14. These two teams will meet three times in the Music City, but won’t meet up again in Nashville until March 6th, 2014.
The Predators have posted a 22-12-9 mark all-time against the Blues on home ice, but have lost three straight going back to February 23rd, 2012 (1-0-2). Two of Nashville’s home losses during that span came via the shootout, a common theme in the series – the teams have needed the post-overtime tiebreaker to determine a winner 13 times, with Nashville posting an 8-5 record.
Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators fought toe-to-toe with the Winnipeg Jets at Bridgestone Arena tonight, winning in overtime 3-2, as Craig Smith scored the game winner with just 17 seconds left in the extra frame.
Nashville led 2-1 until Winnipeg’s Blake Wheeler tied the game with 3:01 remaining in regulation, as Wheeler took a Carter Hutton rebound and parked it into an open net.

The Predators are 7-1-2 against Minnesota dating back to December 31st, 2010, and have won three of the last five meetings between the two teams.
Nashville is coming off a 3-1 win at Winnipeg on Sunday night, completing a 2-0 sweep of the weekend with their win at Montreal on Saturday.
Back-up goalie Carter Hutton got the call in net tonight, to relieve starter Pekka Rinne, and stopped 37 shots on his way to a Predators win.
The Predators opened the scoring with three second period goals to secure the win. It took seven shots. Eric Nystrom was first to score, just 20 seconds into the period, giving Nashville a 1-0 lead.
Nashville Predators at Montreal Canadiens

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators and Montreal Canadiens square off for the first time since November 12th, 2011, and the first time in La Métropole since November 18th, 2010.
Nashville is an even 5-5-4 in 14 all-time games against Montreal, but has only lost to the League’s oldest team once on Bell Centre ice since December 18th, 2003. The Preds are 55-33-16 against the Eastern Conference since 2005-06 and 31-16-9 vs. the East since 2009-10.
