Clarksville Parks and Recreation gears up for the Summer Season

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is excited to open four public swimming pools and four splash pads on Saturday, May 26th, 2018 for the summer season.

Pools are open daily through August 5th. Admission is $5.00 daily, after 3:00pm admission is $3.00. Seasonal and year-round pool memberships are also available. Hours vary by location, see below for hours of operation. Concessions are available for purchase onsite at each pool. No outside food or drinks are allowed.

Heritage Park will host Free Movie Screening, Vendors and Fun

Movies in the Park - Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Movies in the Park, Clarksville’s free, outdoor movie series will celebrate its 13th season as it kicks off on Saturday, May 26th, 2018 with the showing of “Wonder Woman” at Heritage Park, 1241 Peachers Mill Road.

Pre-show activities, coordinated by the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department, will begin at 6:30pm.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces “Opening Day for Trails” set for April 7th

 

Residents invited to enjoy Clarksville’s Beautiful Trails

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Rails-to-Trails Conservancy’s sixth annual Opening Day for Trails will unfold in Clarksville on the Cumberland Riverwalk at McGregor Park, Downtown’s Upland Trail, and the beautiful 5.5-mile Clarksville Greenway.

Opening Day, a celebration of trails nationwide, will be Saturday, April 7th and serve as the unofficial launch of the spring trail season for outdoor enthusiasts and trail lovers.

Clarksville Police are searching for Clarence Smith for Aggravated Assault

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are trying to locate a man, Clarence Smith, 26, B/M with an Evading and Four Aggravated Assault Warrants on file.

On March 29th, 2018, around 11:30am, officers were flagged down on Tobacco Road by four females who said they had been shot at by Clarence Smith who fled from the area in a white Cadillac with a temporary tag; there were visible bullet holes in their car.

Tennessee State Representative - District 67Clarksville, TN – The Montgomery County delegation of the Tennessee General Assembly is pleased to announce an amendment to the legislature’s highway and bridge naming bill has been filed to designate a portion of Providence Boulevard will be named in memory of Pastor Jimmy Terry, Sr. The designated section will begin at the Red River Bridge and continue up Boot Hill and end at Peachers Mill Road.

Pastor Terry, a beloved and iconic citizen of Clarksville and Montgomery County died in June 2017. Pastor Terry was the pastor of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church on Market Street in Clarksville, and he and his wife, Sister Servella Terry, founded the Tabernacle Christian School sharing a campus with the church.

Co-ed programs offered for ages 3-14

Clarksville Police are requesting help Identifying Peachers Mill Road Burglary Suspect

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are asking for assistance identifying a burglary suspect.

On Monday, January 22nd, 2018 around 11:50pm a business broken into at 714 Peachers Mill Road causing over $400.00 damage and theft of an undisclosed amount of money.

He also broke into and stole money from a quarter machine.

Team registration is available for these leagues: Sunday (Men’s), Monday (Over 45), Tuesday (True Co-Ed), Wednesday (Men’s), Thursday (Women’s) and Friday (Church Co-Ed).

Clarksville Transit System rolls out Spooky Special

 

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – The Spooky Special is back for another Spooky Tour.

The Halloween-adorned bus will run the streets of Clarksville, offering free rides on Monday, October 30th and Tuesday, October 31st.
