Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators face the Columbus Blue Jackets for the first time tonight as inter-conference opponents, rather than intra-divisional foes, in 13 years. Last year, Nashville posted a 1-3-1 record against Columbus, but are 50-17-7 against them all-time, and 20-12-3 at the Columbus home ice.
The Predators open the fourth of 14 sets of back-to-backs this season, then return to Nashville on Thanksgiving night to face Edmonton. Nashville’s 14 sets of two-games-in-two nights are five more than last year, and the Predators are 1-2-0 in the opening game and 2-1-0 on the back side of back-to-back tilts.
Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators got off to a fast start, then hung on for the win, defeating the Phoenix Coyotes 4-2 at Bridgestone Arena, Monday night.
Nick Spalling, Mike Fisher and Gabriel Bourque got Nashville out front 3-0, and the Predators never looked back, as Marek Mazanec continued his solid play in goal, turning away 29 shots on goal.
The Coyotes have now lost three in a row.
Phoenix Coyotes vs. Nashville Predators

Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators and Phoenix Coyotes face-off Monday night, for the first of two meetings on Bridgestone Arena ice this season. Nashville holds a 15-10-3 advantage all-time in their home barn, but the Coyotes have won three of the last four meetings in the Music City.
The Predators opened their recent 17-day road trip at Jobing.com Arena on Halloween night, as Nashville jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first period. The Coyotes would storm back through the final 40 minutes to force overtime, before Mikael Boedker scored in the fifth round of the shootout to defeat the Predators, 5-4.
Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators just couldn’t get on the scoreboard Saturday night against the visiting New York Rangers, as the Predators fell to the blueshirts 2-0 at Bridgestone Arena.
Rangers back-up goalie Cam Talbot stopped all 17 shots he faced on the night from Nashville, and recorded the shut-out while giving New York starter Henrik Lundqvist a rest.
Shots on goal were a big part of the story on tonight’s game as the Rangers out-shot Nashville 2-1, recording 34 shots on goal, to Nashville’s 17.
Nashville Predators at Los Angeles Kings

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators and Los Angeles Kings meet for the second of their three-game 2013-14 slate on Saturday, November 2nd, in Los Angeles, CA.
Nashville has won 11-of-20 games against the Kings since the beginning of the 2008-09 season (11-8-1). The Kings are the only Western Conference team that the Predators have a winning record against on the road (14-11-3), but a losing record against at home (10-14-4).
Glendale, AZ - The Nashville Predators couldn’t stand prosperity last night, leading by as much as 3-0 in the first period, before eventually losing to the Phoenix Coyotes, 5-4 in a shootout. Nashville managed to pick up a valuable point as they embark on an ambitious road trip.
Phoenix had to pull themselves out of a hole once again, completing the come-back when Mikkel Boedker scored the only goal in a five round shootout to end the contest in favor of the Coyotes.
Nashville opened a seven-game, 17 day road trip that will take them all over the west coast.

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators last visited Jobing.com Arena on January 28th, 2013, when the Coyotes shut out the Predators 4-0. The ‘Yotes got goals from Antonie Vermette, Lauri Korpikoski, Nick Johnson and Keith Yandle, while Chad Johnson made 21 saves on the night.
Since the start of the 2003-04 campaign the Predators are 19-13-(1)-2 against Phoenix, while posting an 8-8-2 mark at Jobing.com Arena during that span.
Nashville Predators vs. Colorado Avalanche

Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators will look to put Thursday night’s home loss behind them as they travel for a Saturday matinee against the Colorado Avalanche, at 2:00pm CT at the Pepsi Center.
The two teams hook up for their second matinee game this season. The last time the Predators made the trip to Denver for a game it was Presidents Day. Two early goals were too much to overcome for the Predators, as Nashville fell for the first time in 10 games dating back to January 22nd, 2010.
Nashville,TN – The Nashville Predators were down early as Phoenix unleashed 3 goals within the first four minutes of the game, causing Nashville to pull Pekka Rinne from goal to try to stop the bleeding.
Chris Mason came in and things didn’t get much better as he gave up three goals, and the tone of the night had been set.
Phoenix Coyotes vs. Nashville Predators

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators are currently tied for the eighth spot in the Western Division to make the play-offs, tied with the San Jose Sharks with 34 points. The Phoenix Coyotes are currently going nowhere at 30 points, so if the Predators are going to return to the post-season, Thursday night’s points should stay in “Smashville.”
The two teams wrap up their three-game 2012-13 season series on Thursday at Bridgestone Arena with both teams having won a home game to this point.
