Clarksville Parks and Recreation celebrates National Kids to Parks Day with two fun events

Clarksville, TN – Saturday, May 18th is National Kids to Parks Day! The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is celebrating with two events that can get children out of the house and having a ball.
The Spring Family Campout will be held Saturday, May 18th at Billy Dunlop Park, located at 1930 East Boy Scout Road. Families can camp overnight at the park for only $20.00 per family, up to six members, or $5.00 per individual. Fort Defiance Interpretive Center to host first-ever Civil War Summer Camp

Clarksville, TN – The Fort Defiance Interpretive Center, located at 120 Duncan Street, is proud to host the City’s first Civil War Summer Camp for youth in the 5th and 6th grades.
The Civil War Summer Camp, instructed by Karel Biggs, focuses on the American Civil War. Students will learn more about the people, events, vocabulary, songs, food, drills, clothing and flags associated with the War.

Indoor Aquatic Center to host Special Needs Night

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is excited to host Special Needs Night at the Indoor Aquatic Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, on Saturday, April 27th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
The event is open to children and adults with mental of physical disabilities and their families. Cost to attend is $1.00 per person, including family members who may not be swimming.
