Tennessee State Licensure Renewal Bill aiding Military Personnel Passes House of Representatives Unanimously

TDOT Issues Two Important Public Meeting Notices impacting Clarksville-Montgomery County
Nashville, TN – House Bill 0422 (Senate Bill 493) which would expedite issuance of certain professional licenses and temporarily extend certain licenses for active duty personnel that were deployed when their licenses came due for renewal passed unanimously in the House of Representatives on Monday, March 11th.
Tennessee State Representative Joe Pitts (D-Clarksville), sponsor of the House bill said “The legislation sets a clear process for professional license renewal when our active duty military personnel are deployed at the time of that renewal.”
The House of Representatives passed the bill unanimously and the Senate will take up the bill on Monday, March 18th.

Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan to hold Public Meeting to discuss Access Ordinance
Clarksville, TN – On Monday, January 28th, 2013, Mayor Kim McMillan will host a public meeting to discuss the City of Clarksville’s proposal to revise the ordinance on access roads.

Community Development Block Grant Public Meeting Notice
Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government will hold a public meeting on the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program at 6:30pm CST on January 30th, 2012 at the William O. Beach Civic Hall, located at 350 Pageant Lane, Veterans’ Plaza, Clarksville, Tennessee.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss possible projects for which the County may apply under the 2012 CDBG program. Montgomery County Parks Public Input meeting
Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Department will conduct a Public Input meeting regarding the South Guthrie Community Center on October 6th, 2011 at 6:30pm. This meeting will be held at the center, located at 5025 Guthrie Road.
Preliminary construction drawings will be on display and citizens will be asked to offer their input on the future uses of the facility and needs of the community. We hope you can join us!
Parks Public Input Meeting June 21st
Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Parks and Recreation will conduct a Public Input meeting regarding the future development of a public park in the Sango area on Tuesday, June 21st at 6:30pm at Sango Elementary School.
About Park Land: Approximately 15 acres of land connected to the Carmel Elementary School property will be developed as a public park. The Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Department is seeking citizen input to guide the development of a public park that serves the community.
Public Meeting to be held to discuss new Storm Water Permit
Montgomery County, TN - On February 24th, 2010 between 5:00pm and 8:00pm, there will be a public meeting to review the new storm water permit and allow for public comments at the Montgomery County Civic Hall.

APSU sets public meeting to review hazard plan
Austin Peay State University has scheduled a public meeting to gather comments on its Hazard Mitigation Plan. The plan reviews each of the major hazards that could pose risks to APSU and identifies action items to reduce those risks.
