Clarksville TN – The 5th annual “Warm Souls Christmas Celebration” was held Monday at the Hilldale Baptist Church Activities Center on Old Farmers Road.
Over 1200 Clarksville area citizens were treated to live music, a free shopping spree, Christmas portraits, free haircuts, free gifts, and more, provided by Radical Mission Compassionate Ministries.
 Christmas presents flowed out from under the Christmas Tree at the Radical Mission “Warm Souls Christmas Celebration” held Christmas eve.

Montgomery County announces Volunteer Stars Award Recipients

Montgomery County, TN – Congratulations go to H. Lynn Hunter and Trinity Beard for being selected the Montgomery County recipients for the 2011 Governor’s Volunteer Stars Awards.
Hunter and Beard will be recognized, along with other recipients from across the state, at a reception in Nashville on February 27th and both will be honored tonight during the February Montgomery County commission meeting with proclamations from County Mayor Carolyn Bowers.

Clarksville Transit System to provide Transportation for Christmas Celebration

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Transit System will provide “added service” transportation to the 4th Annual Warm Souls Christmas event provided by the Radical Mission Compassionate Ministries. The celebration will take place on December 24th, 2011 from noon to 4:00pm.

Radical Mission provides much needed assistance for those in need
Clarksville, TN – 5-1/2 years ago The Clarksville First Church of the Nazarene saw a need in our community that had to be met. They had people who would come in to the Church from the streets needing food, shelter, and other things. Out of this need emerged a new Radical Mission for the church, embracing our community through compassion, and so that is what they named it.
“People who come to us for help are Friends and neighbors first, not just clients” said Brett Smith, the Director of Radical Mission Compassionate Ministries at Clarksville First Church of the Nazarene.

Radical Missions Compassionate Ministries hosting the 3rd Annual Warm Souls event on Christmas Eve

Clarksville, TN – Radical Missions Compassionate Ministries will be hosting their annual Warm Souls event, which is a free event for the homeless and low income families in our community. The event will take place on December 24th, at the Hilldale Baptist Church Family Life Center on 250 Old Farmers Road. Doors open at noon (12:00 pm) and the program will start at 1pm. First Church of the Nazarene is Hosting a Free College Information Session

The First Church of the Nazarene, located on 150 Richview Road (across from Clarksville High School), will be hosting a free college information session on September 18th at 10:00am. The session will include topics on financial aid, grants that are available to military dependents, the responsibility of the student and the parent, plus much more.
Earlier this year, Governor Bredesen met with leading higher education officials to hammer out a plan to try and get more diplomas in the hands of college students.
