Washington, D.C. – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2014 Ram 2500 trucks and 2013-2014 Ram 3500 trucks and cab chassis manufactured October 9th, 2012, to July 29th, 2014.
The affected vehicles may have inadequate welds securing the front track bar frame brackets, which may result in the bracket components separating from the frame.
Britax Child Safety recalls over 200,000 Advocate ClickTight child seats because Harness Adjuster/Release Button may Stick
Washington, D.C. – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports Britax Child Safety, Inc. (Britax) is recalling certain Advocate ClickTight child seats, model numbers E9LT95Q, E9LT95Z, E9LT95N, and E1A025Q, Boulevard ClickTight child seats, model numbers E9LT86F, E1A135Q, E9LT86G, E9LT85Q, E9LT86A, E9LT86H, E9LT85S, E1A015Q, E1A016A, and E1A016H, and Marathon ClickTight child seats, model numbers E1A116L, E9LT76P, E9LT71Q, E9LT76N, E9LT76B, E9LT75R, E9LT76L, E1A006B, E1A005R and EXA116L, manufactured August 1st, 2014, to July 29th, 2015.
The affected child seats have a red harness adjuster button that may stick in the down (harness release) position allowing the shoulder harness to loosen.
Chrysler recalls over 280,000 model 2011-2014 Dodge Chargers due to possible Inadvertent Side Air Bag Deployment
Washington, D.C. – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2011-2014 Dodge Charger vehicles manufactured May 6th, 2010, to June 5th, 2014.
In the affected vehicles, the side impact sensor calibrations may be overly sensitive, and as a result, the side air bag inflatable curtains and seat air bags may unexpectedly deploy and the seat belt pre-tensioners may activate.
Washington, D.C. – Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain model year 2012-2014 Prius V vehicles manufactured August 22nd, 2011, to June 30th, 2014. A component within the hybrid inverter assembly may overheat, causing the hybrid system to reduce output power allowing the vehicle to only drive a short distance.
In some circumstances, the hybrid system may shut down causing the vehicle to stop while being driven.
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reports that Cooper Lighting is recalling fluorescent lighting fixtures because the socket can overheat causing a fire hazard.
Consumers should stop using this product unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.
Washington, D.C. – General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2008-2012 Buick Enclave vehicles manufactured January 3rd, 2007, to February 29th, 2012, 2009-2012 Chevrolet Traverse vehicles manufactured July 6th, 2008, to February 29th, 2012, 2007-2012 GMC Acadia vehicles manufactured September 15th, 2006, to February 29th, 2012, and 2007-2010 Saturn Outlook vehicles manufactured August 17th, 2006, to March 18th, 2010.
The affected vehicles, equipped with the power liftgate option, have gas struts that hold the power liftgate up when open. These struts may prematurely wear and the open liftgate may suddenly fall.
Ford Motor Company recalling over 370,000 vehicles because Engine may continue to run after being turned off
Washington, D.C. – Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2015 Ford Escape vehicles manufactured April 1st, 2014, to June 12th, 2015, Ford Focus vehicles manufactured June 17th, 2014, to June 12th, 2015, and Ford C-Max vehicles manufactured April 22nd, 2014, to June 12th, 2015.
In the affected vehicles, the engine may continue to run after the key or the START/STOP engine button is turned to off. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 114, “Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention.”
Washington, D.C. – Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) is recalling certain model year 2000-2005 Eclipse vehicles manufactured April 5th, 1999, to December 17th, 2004, 2001-2005 Eclipse Spyder vehicles manufactured January 19th, 2000, to March 18th, 2005, 2001-2005 Chrysler Sebring vehicles manufactured April 17th, 2000, to February 21st, 2005, and 2001-2005 Dodge Stratus vehicles manufactured April 17th, 2000, to February 22nd, 2005.
In the affected vehicles, the passenger side sun visor may be folded down in such a position that, if the passenger frontal air bag deploys, the passenger side sun visor may detach.
Toyota recalls nearly 2 million Vehicles because the air bag inflator could rupture and send out metal fragments
Washington, D.C. – Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) notified the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on May 13th, 2015 that they are recalling certain model year 2004 Sequoia vehicles manufactured August 18th, 2003, to August 19th, 2004, and 2003-2004 Tundra vehicles manufactured March 18th, 2003, to August 25th, 2004.
On June 16th, 2015, Toyota expanded the recall to include an additional 1,270,468 vehicles, including model year 2002-2003 and 2005-2007 Sequoia, 2005-2006 Tundra, 2003-2007 Corolla, 2003-2007 Corolla Matrix, 2003-2007 Pontiac Vibe and 2002-2007 Lexus SC vehicles.
