Austin Peay Governors Wrap Up OVC Regular Schedule Hosting SIU Edwardsville

Clarksville, TN - Austin Peay’s nationally-ranked baseball team will put its nine-game win streak on the line when it hosts SIU Edwardsville in a three-game Ohio Valley Conference series, beginning with a 6:00pm, Thursday contest at Raymond C. Hand Park.

Nashville Sounds lose to Oklahoma City RedHawks 4-2
Nashville’s Gindl Homers; Gennett’s Streak to 11 Games
Oklahoma City, OK – The Nashville Sounds never recovered from the Oklahoma City RedHawks’ three-run second inning Tuesday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, losing their sixth consecutive road game by the score of 4-2.
The RedHawks big inning came against Sounds starting pitcher Johnny Hellweg (1-3), though only the first run he allowed, a Marc Krauss lead-off home run to left field, was earned. The homer was Krauss’ sixth and the first surrendered by Hellweg this season.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University kept its slim post-season dreams alive, Sunday afternoon at Cheryl Holt Field, as the Lady Govs swept an Ohio Valley Conference doubleheader from Southeast Missouri 6-0 and 6-5.

Cape Girardeau, MO - Starter Lee Ridenhour threw seven scoreless innings and Austin Peay State University’s offense scored nine unanswered runs en route to a 9-4 OVC series-opening victory against Southeast Missouri, Friday night at Capaha Field.
