Clarksville, TN – Montgomery County Animal Control and Adoption Services setup their new Mobile Adoption Trailer at this years Rivers and Spires Festival Friday, April 19th and Saturday, April 20th. It was sitting near the Kid’s Zone at the corner of Hiter Street and Commerce Street.
“It has been very well received,” stated Montgomery County Animal Control director Tim Clifton. “I think this is probably one of the greatest things we’ve done at animal control.”

Black Velvette rocks Rivers and Spires Festival

Clarksville, TN – At 5:45pm, on Saturday April 20th, Black Velvette set foot on the Courthouse Stage of the Rivers and Spires Festival and played in front of a large audience. From the first note of “Baggage Claim” their opening number, they had the crowd clapping and dancing in front of the stage.
Lead vocalists Anna Henderson and Tina Huff combine for a sultry sound that goes perfectly with the hot licks and edgy sounds from the band. Black Velvette commanded the stage and electrified the audience.

Rivers and Spires Festival Celebrates Successful 11th Year

Clarksville, TN – The Rivers and Spires Festival and the the Clarksville-Montgomery County Convention and Visitors Bureau, want to extend a ‘thank-you’ to all the sponsors, volunteers and vendors who helped make the 11th annual Rivers and Spires Festival an overwhelming success.
This year, over 35,000 people attended the three-day event, with over 28,500 people attending on Saturday alone.

Lydia Walker draws large crowd at this years Rivers and Spires Festival

Clarksville, TN – Local singer and songwriter Lydia Walker performed at 3:30pm Saturday, April 20th on the Family Fun stage at the Rivers and Spires Festival. She was the opening act for Building 429.
“I had a great time. It was an awesome crowd. We ended up have amazing weather. Not to hot, not to cold, it was perfect,” said Lydia Walker. “I am so excited to be apart of something so special to Clarksville, my hometown.”

Rivers and Spires Festival reaches Crescendo with Jo Dee Messina Concert
Clarksville, TN – The final day of the 2013 Rivers and Spires Festival began with absolutely glorious weather. The sun was shining and the sky was that special shade of blue you get after a spring storm. The crowds started showing up even before the 10:00am official opening time.
Dave Loos, Jr. from WJZM 1400 AM was on hand broadcasting Live from the Bill Roberts Thunder Road Automotive and Marine booth just down from the Roxy Regional Theatre. He spent the morning interviewing festival organizers and some of the sponsors.

Rivers and Spires Festival fights chilly weather on second day of festival
Clarksville, TN – The second day of the Rivers and Spires Festival opened with an unseasonable chill in the air, but that didn’t stop the crowds for coming out for the second day of this wonderful three day festival held in Historic Downtown Clarksville Tennessee.
On the first day of the 2013 Rivers and Spires Festival I concentrated mostly on the musical entertainment, today I engaged in one of the most popular activities at the festival, people watching!

Rivers and Spires Festival features Brewfest on Saturday, April 20th

Clarksville, TN – The Rivers and Spires Festival’s Brewfest will feature more than 80 beers for you to sample on Saturday, April 20th from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.
The event will have craft beers, food and entertainment. Activities for the afternoon include interactive cooking shows, sponsored by Legends Bank and Publix, complete with samples for the audience to enjoy.

Chris Monhollen a multi-talented musician and award winning vocalist from Clarksville, Tennessee hits the Family Fun Stage at 5:00pm. He has performed in numerous shows and local festivals in the Middle Tennessee area.

Rivers and Spires Festival kicks off with high spirits
Clarksville, TN – The first day of the Rivers and Spires Festival opened with spring rains threatening, which prompted festival organizers to move up the start of the festivities. This allowed the evening to conclude before the weather struck.
The early start didn’t dampen the spirits of the crowd drawn to downtown to enjoy the top notch musical entertainment. Cowboy Mouth was certainly the most popular performer as the crowd was drawn in droves to the edge of the Public Square Stage.

Clarksville’s Rivers and Spires Festival Enhances Security

Clarksville, TN – The Rivers and Spires Festival along with City of Clarksville and Montgomery County Public Safety officials met on Tuesday to discuss procedures to ensure the safety of those attending the Festival.
Officials want to stress that all necessary measures are in place to protect Festival-goers and to respond effectively to any type of incident that may occur. Additional security options have been discussed, with some new measures being utilized during the event.
