Nashville PredatorsNashville, TN – The Nashville Predators will host the Phoenix Coyotes Thursday night at the Bridgestone Arena at 7:00pm.  This is the third of four games at home for Nashville, marking the fifth time in the last six years the Predators have played on Valentine’s Day.

Nashville Predators win over-time thriller against San Jose Sharks 1-0

 

Nashville PredatorsNashville, TN – The Nashville Predators snapped back into the win column with an overtime win against the San Jose Sharks, 1-0 at the Bridgestone Arena.  Nashville ended a two-game losing streak which came after a four-game win streak with tonight’s win.

Nashville’s Colin Wilson tipped Ryan Ellis’ shot from the blue line past San Jose goalie Antti Niemi 2:08 in the over-time period for the victory.  Ellis carried into the Sharks’ zone as Wilson drove to the net.  He got his stick on it, sending it slowly through Niemi, and his second try to put it in wasn’t needed as it trickled inside the right post. «Read the rest of this article»

Sunday night’s tilt marked only the third time that the Predators have failed to earn at least a point in the standings this season (5-3-4, 14 pts).  All three of Nashville’s regulation losses this season have been shutouts. Nashville Predators shutout by Chicago Blackhawks at home 3-0

 

Nashville PredatorsNashville, TN – The Chicago Blackhawks broke things open in the 2nd period when Marcus Kruger and Jonathan Toews scored back to back goals within 66 seconds of each other. The Blackhawks go on to defeat the Nashville Predators Sunday night 3-0 in front of a sold out crowd at Bridgestone Arena.

Nashville recorded a 4-2-1 record over the long road trip and return to “Smashville” with momentum.

The Predators exploded for six goals to beat the St. Louis Blues 6-1 on Tuesday night.  The victory over the Blues was the most lopsided victory in series history and just the 10th time Nashville has won by five or more goals in a road game. «Read the rest of this article»

Nashville Predators return to St. Louis to take on the Blues Tuesday night

 

Nashville PredatorsSt. Louis, MO – The Nashville Predators have become the “cardiac kids” their last two games, winning in a shoot-out both times. Tuesday night, February 4th, they return to St. Louis to give the Blues, “the blues”, at the Scottrade Center. The game starts at 7:00pm.

Nashville Predators beat undefeated San Jose Sharks in Shootout 2-1

Nashville PredatorsSan Jose, CA – Nashville Predators and the San Jose Sharks go into a shootout Saturday night at HP Pavilion arena.

In the third round of the shootout, Predators’ Craig Smith goes in center with some speed, shifts to his right, Sharks’ goaltender Antti Niemi moves right with him, allowing Smith to shift the puck to his left and dink it in for the goal. This put Nashville up in the shootout.

San Jose’s Joe Pavelsk, needing to score to keep the Sharks alive, goes in fast, shifts right sending the puck  flying to Pekka Rinne’s glove side. Rinne makes the stop securing the win for the Predators. This was San Jose’s first loss of the year. «Read the rest of this article»

Nashville Predators visit Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings Thursday

 

Nashville-Predators-logoClarksville, TN – The Nashville Predators are in desperate need of a win, and it doesn’t get any easier when they face the defending Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, Thursday night, January 31st at the Stables Center. The puck hits ice at 9:30pm.
