Nashville Predators lose in overtime 5-4 to Chicago Blackhawks 5-4

 

Nashville PredatorsChicago, IL – The Nashville Predators lost in overtime to the Chicago Blackhawks, 5-4 as Marian Hossa scored on a power-play just 52 seconds into overtime and Chicago sweeps the season series against the Predators.

Rich Clune was in the penalty box serving a four minute minor for high sticking as Patrick Kane sent a pass across the ice to Hossa who one-timed it past Pekka Rinne for the win. Kane, Michal Handzus, Duncan Keith and Brandon Saad also scored for Chicago.

The Kings are the only Western Conference team that the Predators have a winning record against on the road (14-10-3), but a losing record against at home (10-14-3).

The Predators are coming off of a thrilling, action packed, over-time thriller vs. the Dallas Stars on Monday night at the Bridgestone Arena, 5-4.

Roman Josi posted the first four-point outing (2g-2a) of his career on Monday night, as he beat Christopher Nilstorp 28 seconds into overtime to give the Predators the 5-4 win over Dallas. He posted the Predators second goal of the game and added assists on back-to-back goals for Nashville.

Nashville Predators get 5-4 overtime victory over Dallas Stars Monday night

 

Nashville PredatorsNashville, TN – The Nashville Predators over-came a two goal deficit to beat the Dallas Stars 5-4 at the Bridgestone Arena in front of another sold-out crowd. It was Roman Josi who scored his second goal of the night just seconds into the extra period for the win.

The winner helped the Nashville Predators end a two-game losing streak as the Predators played their 10th overtime game of the season.

Nashville Predators win over-time thriller against San Jose Sharks 1-0

 

Nashville PredatorsNashville, TN – The Nashville Predators snapped back into the win column with an overtime win against the San Jose Sharks, 1-0 at the Bridgestone Arena.  Nashville ended a two-game losing streak which came after a four-game win streak with tonight’s win.

Nashville’s Colin Wilson tipped Ryan Ellis’ shot from the blue line past San Jose goalie Antti Niemi 2:08 in the over-time period for the victory.  Ellis carried into the Sharks’ zone as Wilson drove to the net.  He got his stick on it, sending it slowly through Niemi, and his second try to put it in wasn’t needed as it trickled inside the right post. «Read the rest of this article»

Nashville Predators visit Phoenix Coyotes

 

Nashville-Predators-logoNashville, TN – The road woes continue for the Nashville Predators, as their extended road trip lands in Phoenix, Monday night.

The Predators and Coyotes meet for the first time since their five-game Western Conference Semifinal series in the 2012 Playoffs, a series Phoenix won behind timely scoring and outstanding goaltending from Mike Smith. The clubs split their 2011-12 regular season series, with Nashville claiming its two victories on Jobing.com Arena ice.

On March 12th, 2012, Nashville pulled out a 5-4 shootout win, and on November 3rd, 2011, Pekka Rinne – celebrating his 29th birthday – signed a seven-year contract in the afternoon, then capped off the day by shutting out the Coyotes, 3-0. Nashville Predators to face the Anaheim Ducks Saturday

 

Nashville-Predators-logoNashville, TN -  The Nashville Predators are hoping to shake off their lackluster performance against the St. Louis Blues on Thursday night, as they face the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday.

This marks the third stop of a franchise record tying seven-game road swing; the Predators also played seven straight on the road from October 30th-November 12th, 2002. The trip will last 15 days, and see the team go to Minnesota, St. Louis, Anaheim, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Jose, then back to St. Louis to wrap things up on February 5th.  Nashville’s next game in the Music City will be February 7th against the reigning Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings. «Read the rest of this article»
