Classes scheduled to meet Wednesday, March 5th at the Fort Campbell campus have been rescheduled to meet Friday, March 7th during their originally scheduled class times.

Clarksville Montgomery County Schools closing due to City Water Problem

 

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School SystemMontgomery County, TN – Due to a water problem in the city of Clarksville, all Clarksville Montgomery County Schools will be closing two hours early today.

High schools and middle schools will be dismissing at approximately noon. Elementary students will be dismissed two hours earlier than their normal times.

Clarksville Montgomery County Schools Closing Five Hours Early

 

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School SystemMontgomery County, TN – This is the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. Due to widespread power outages in our county and multiple schools without electricity, all Clarksville Montgomery County public schools will close five hours early today.

Middle and High Schools are released first since their release times are earliest. Elementary Schools will be released five hours earlier than their normal dismissal times.

Temperatures to drop into the Teens Overnight

 

Ice & Snow Take It SlowClarksville, TN – The sun came out and cleared most of the roads today. However, the temperature is expected to reach the season’s lowest tonight of around 7 degrees. Some secondary roads are still wet and will freeze overnight. Motorists should still use caution in the morning, especially on the sideroads and parking lots.

With temperatures dropping into the teens overnight, pet owners are urged to bring their animals indoors and out of the frigid cold.

Winter Storm blankets area in Snow

 

Ice & Snow Take It SlowClarksville, TN - The winter storm has moved out of the area and left 2 plus inches of snow behind. Crews are out scrapping the roads, but with the temperature expected to reach 15 degrees tonight, roads will be iced over in the morning. Already reports are coming in about extremely hazardous road conditions around the Clarksville area.

 Motorists should use caution on the drive to work in the morning. Anyone that does not need to be out should stay at home. For those that can, it is advised to wait and drive in a couple of hours late as road conditions should improve later in the morning.

Road Conditions expected to worsen as the day progresses

 

Ice & Snow Take It SlowClarksville, TN – Early morning rain, turned to sleet and then to snow as weather conditions worsen across the Montgomery County area. Roads are already icing up in the more shaded areas. Motorists are cautioned to be careful and to take it easy on the drive home today.

As a cold front pushes eastward across Middle Tennessee, temperatures will continue to drop and one to two inches of snow, in some cases three or more, are expected. Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools will be closing two hours early today due to incoming weather conditions. More updates will be posted as they come in.

With the low tonight expected to reach 23 degrees, travel conditions will worsen after nightfall and possibly become hazardous again by early Thursday morning. School Closings for Wednesday, February 10th 2010

 

Due to the inclement weather, the public schools will be closed today in Montgomery County.

At APSU, The University’s main campus will be open and operating on a normal schedule Wednesday, Feb. 10. Classes in Dickson will be on schedule. APSU@Fort Campbell will open at 9 a.m. due to base delays.

Clarksville Christian School is closed. Clarksville Academy and Clarksville 1st Nazarene CDC, are opening 2 hours late.

Stewart County Schools, Houston County Schools, Robertson County Schools, and Cheatham County Schools are closed as well.

In Kentucky, Christian County Schools are closed.

For Fort Campbell, On 10 Feb 2010 Inclement Weather personnel report at normal time; all other personnel are authorized up to a two hour delay from normal report time. Dependent Schools and school bus operations will operate on a two hour delay. Morning Pre-K and PSCD classes are closed. Unit commanders have flexibility to set work calls based on conditions in unit areas and varied off-post conditions.

School closings for Tuesday February 9th, 2010

 

Due to the inclement weather, the public schools will be closed today in Montgomery County.

Due to inclement weather, APSU main campus, Center @ Ft. Campbell and APSU at the Renaissance Center will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 9.

Clarksville Christian School is closed. Giving Tree Child Care & Miss Patsy’s Daycare are opening 2 hours late. No word yet on Clarksville Academy

Stewart County Schools, Houston County Schools, Robertson County Schools, and Cheatham County Schools are closed as well.

In Kentucky, Christian County Schools are closed. While Fort Campbell Schools and the Post will be opening 2 hours late.
