Nashville Predators acquire a conditional seventh-round pick from San Jose Sharks

Predators send defenseman Scott Hannan to the Sharks
Nashville, TN – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has acquired a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft in exchange for defenseman Scott Hannan.
The seventh rounder changes to a sixth-round pick if Hannan appears in the playoffs.

Nashville Predators recall Craig Smith, activate Paul Gaustad and place Scott Hannan on Injured Reserve
Nashville, TN – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Craig Smith from his conditioning assignment with the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL), activated forward Paul Gaustad from Injured Reserve and placed defenseman Scott Hannan on Injured Reserve.

A season ago, the Predators claimed three of four games against the Flames, including each of the last two meetings – both at Bridgestone Arena.

Shea Weber proved to be the overtime hero, scoring just 44 seconds into the frame to cap off a two-point night and earn First Star honors. Colin Wilson also notched a pair of points (2a), while both Craig Smith and Roman Josi scored their first goals of the season.
