Nashville Predators lose to Minnesota Wild 2-1 in shoot-out

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators welcomed back on old friend tonight in the name of Ryan Suiter and his Minnesota Wild Hockey team, but the fans at Bridgestone Arena were not in a welcoming mood.

Suiter, who left Nashville to take a $100 million contract offer from the Wild, was greeted soundly with boos from the Smashville crowd all throughout the night.

Nashville Predators shut-out Edmonton Oilers 6-0

Nashville,TN – The Nashville Predators returned to the friendly confines of Bridgestone Arena tonight to another sold-out crowd, and responded with a 6-0 “thumping” of the Edmonton Oilers.

Colin Wilson had a career-high two goals and two assists on his way to earning the “First” star of the game.

Nashville Predators send forward Matt Halischuk to Milwaukee Admirals on conditioning assignment

Nashville, TN – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has assigned forward Matt Halischuk to Milwaukee (AHL) on a conditioning assignment. Halischuk remains on Nashville’s active roster during the conditioning stint.

Halischuk, 24 (6/1/88), has one assist and six penalty minutes in 16 games for the Predators this season. He last appeared with the Admirals during the 2010-11 season when he amassed 23 points (11g-12a) in 37 games.

Nashville Predators get overtime win against Detroit Red Wings 4-3

Nashville, TN – Jordin Tootoo’s return to Smashville was not what he expected tonight as his former team, the Nashville Predators, beat the Detroit Red Wings 4-3 in over-time.

Nashville’s Captain Shea Weber scored the game winner just 44 seconds into overtime to give the Predators the win. The Red Wings have now dropped four straight.

Nashville Predators lose in over time to Minnesota Wild 2-1

St.Paul, MN – The Nashville Predators saw their winning streak snapped against the Minnesota Wild Saturday night, as they lost in overtime,  2-1.  A controversial penalty on Paul Gaustad put the Predators a man down during the bonus period.

Nashville Predators visit St. Louis Blues Thursday Night

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators, fresh off their first win of the season against Minnesota, come to St. Louis, seeking revenge over the Blues Thursday night.  This is the second time in four days the two teams have faced off, with St. Louis winning on Monday night in an exciting 4-3 shoot-out victory.

Four of the last six games between Nashville and St. Louis have gone to a shootout, and dating back to 2005-06 when the shootout was implemented, Nashville has gone to a shootout with the Blues 13 times, more than any other team (8-5 record).  Despite the loss, Nashville is 4-1-2 against the Blues since the beginning of last season, and 41-29-12 all-time in the series. «Read the rest of this article»
