The Clarksville Police Department, in conjunction with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Kraft street next Friday night, June 26, 2009 from 11:00 p.m. till 1:00 a.m. the purpose of these checkpoints is to detect and deter impaired drivers. Please drive safely!
Overtime for this checkpoint is partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.

The Clarksville Police Department, in conjunction with the Montgomery County Sheriff Department, will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, on Friday May 15, 2009 from 11:00 p.m. till 1:00 a.m. The purpose of these checkpoints is to detect and deter impaired drivers. The Clarksville Police Department in conjunction with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Highway 48/13 on Friday, December12, from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. The purpose of these checkpoints is to detect and deter impaired drivers. After the checkpoint officers will patrol all roadways to locate and apprehend impaired drivers.

The Clarksville Police Department’s Sobriety Checkpoint and saturation patrols (partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office) October 31 and November 1, 2008 between 2200 hours and 0400 hours yielded the following results:

The Clarksville Police Department, in conjunction with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Friday, August 29th from 11:00 pm until 1:00 am on Fort Campbell Blvd. The purpose is to detect and deter impaired drivers.
CPD will have extra D.U.I. Enforcement Officers working both Friday and Saturday nights for the holiday weekend. The CPD urges drivers to not mix driving and drinking.
Additionally, the CPD will have their new D.U.I. Booking Trailer, constructed by Michael Richardson and Trailerlogic, LLC, on hand for an “open house” for media and others from 1600 hours until 1700 hours Friday, August 29, 2008. It will be set up at 1584 Vista Lane for this event.
