Riverfest kicked off Thursday with annual Art Experience

 

2017 RiverFestClarksville, TN – Riverfest 2017 kicked off Thursday night, September 7th, 2017 with its annual Art Experience, a juried art competition open to people of all ages and experience levels.

Kara Zahn is Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s event planning specialist and Art Experience coordinator. “This event was formerly known as Tour D’Art,” Zahn said. “For the last three years the different elements have all been combined to create a single event which has been held at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center.”

Austin Peay State University Department of Art and Design showcased at Nashville Art Exhibit

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – This October, the L Gallery in downtown Nashville will present works by Austin Peay State University art and design faculty and students as part of a multi-discipline exhibit, titled “The One and the Many.”

The exhibit, curated by APSU student Sara Straussberger, will open with a reception from 6:00pm-9:00pm on October 3rd at the gallery, in space 72 of The Arcade in Nashville.

Art Walk to showcase diverse artists

 

Downtown Clarksville’s Art Walk  will be held on Thursday, February 5th from 5 – 8 p.m.

art-paletteHodgepodge will host its first mother/daughter team of artists:  Sophia Eisenbart, a 16 year-old high school student, has been drawing and painting for five years. Her art is influenced by Dan Hiller. Elizabeth Valdez is a self taught contemporary painter who loves to try different mediums,including photography.
