Nashville posted the first goal of the game for the first time in three games, as Gabriel Bourque tipped in a Kevin Klein shot. It was Bourque’s second goal of the season, and Klein’s first point/assist since April 23rd, 2013 vs. Calgary.

The first season of realignment maintains Nashville’s divisional rivalries with the Chicago Blackhawks and the St. Louis Blues, and also features new division rivals against the Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild and Winnipeg Jets.
Fans in Nashville will also see every Eastern Conference team make a stop at Bridgestone Arena in 2013-14.
Nashville, TN – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has signed goaltender Carter Hutton to a one-year, two-way contract worth $550,000 at the NHL level and $100,000 at the AHL level.
Hutton, 27 (12/19/85), appeared in one game for the 2013 Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks and 51 games for the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs in 2012-13, posting a 26-22-1 record, a 2.72 goals-against average, a .908 save percentage and a pair of shutouts.
Nashville, TN – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has signed forward Viktor Stalberg to a four-year, $12 million contract. He will make $2.5 million in 2013-14 and 2014-15 and $3.5 million in 2015-16 and 2016-17.
Stalberg, 27 (1/17/86), posted 23 points (9g-14a) in 47 regular-season games and three assists in 19 playoff games for the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks in 2012-13, his fourth NHL season.
Nashville, TN – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has signed forward Matt Cullen to a two-year, $7 million contract. He will be paid $3 million in 2013-14 and $4 million in 2014-15.
Cullen, 36 (11/2/76), posted 27 points (7g-20a) in 42 games with the Minnesota Wild in 2012-13, in addition to ranking among the League leaders in face-off efficiency (53.2 percent) for the third consecutive season and won more draws than he lost for the ninth consecutive season.

On March 12th, 2012, Nashville pulled out a 5-4 shootout win, and on November 3rd, 2011, Pekka Rinne – celebrating his 29th birthday – signed a seven-year contract in the afternoon, then capped off the day by shutting out the Coyotes, 3-0.
