Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s athletic department handed out its individual/team honors and awards for the 2012-13 school year, at the Dunn Center April 29th, with a local product and a transfer taking home the events top award.

OVC Soccer Championship Showdown with UT Martin facing Austin Peay Sunday

Martin, TN – The University of Tennessee at Martin soccer team has the chance to advance to its second straight NCAA Tournament on Sunday, November 4th, when it takes on the Austin Peay Lady Govs in the Ohio Valley Conference championship at 1:00pm at Skyhawk Field.
The matchup will pit the two hottest teams in the league against each other. No. 1 seed UT Martin (12-5-3) won the regular season title and has won six straight contests, including Friday’s 1-0 victory over Southeast Missouri in the semifinals. «Read the rest of this article»
Austin Peay Lady Govs Soccer gets late goal to defeat SIU Edwardsville and advance to OVC Championship game

Martin, TN – A late Joceline Quiceno goal propelled Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team back into the Ohio Valley Conference tournament final by way of a 1-0 victory against SIU Edwardsville, Friday, at Skyhawk Stadium.
The victory puts Austin Peay (12-7-1) back in the championship game for the first time since 2010. They will face regular-season champion UT Martin (12-5-3) in Sunday’s 1:00pm final. Austin Peay fell to Morehead State, 2-1, in their first OVC Championship game.

Austin Peay Lady Govs Soccer to face SIU Edwardsville in OVC Tournament Semifinal
APSU Sports: Austin Peay Soccer
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team begins the push for its first Ohio Valley Conference tournament championship, Friday, when the Lady Govs take on SIU Edwardsville, 7:00pm, at UT Martin’s Skyhawk Field.
The second-seeded Lady Govs return to the OVC Tournament for the first time since 2010, when they advanced to the championship game before falling to Morehead State, 2-1. This is the highest an Austin Peay squad has ever been seeded in the OVC soccer tournament.
