Knoxville, TN – Tennessee chases its first 2-0 start to SEC play since 2010 when it welcomes Arkansas to Thompson-Boling Arena on Tuesday night for a 5:30pm CT tip on SEC Network.
The Vols (8-5, 1-0 SEC) opened SEC play last week, picking up an 83-73 road win at Texas A&M. UT got a balanced team effort offensively with four players finishing in double figures. Lamonte Turner led the way with 14 points and true freshman Grant Williams chipped in 12 points to go along with five rebounds and a school-record-tying six blocks.

Knoxville, TN – Tennessee opens Southeastern Conference play on Thursday when it travels to College Station to face Texas A&M at 6:00pm CT on the SEC Network.
The Vols (7-5) closed out its pre-conference schedule before the Christmas holiday, going on the road and picking up a tough 72-68 win at East Tennessee State last Thursday. Tennessee was making its first appearance in Johnson City since 1963 and was led to victory by junior guard Detrick Mostella who scored 25 points off the bench.

Knoxville, TN – #22/25 Tennessee (4-2) will take on #4/4 Baylor (8-1) Sunday at 1:00pm CT in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Clarksville, TN – After making a history-making run through the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament last week, Austin Peay State University’s men’s basketball team will have to face a history making challenge once again in the NCAA Tournament.
The Governors (18-17) were the first eighth-seed to win the OVC Tournament championship, winning four games in four days, but now a bigger undertaking awaits them as a 16-seed and having to go up against the NCAA Tournament’s overall number-one seed Kansas (30-4).

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University track and field team will make it back-to-back weekends in the mid-state area when it treks to Nashville for the Music City Challenge, hosted by Vanderbilt.
The two-day event begins 4:00pm, Friday, February 12th, 2016 with the high jump and weight throw at the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility.

Knoxville, TN – Tennessee faces its second ranked opponent of the season when No. 21 Texas A&M visits Thompson-Boling Arena on Saturday for a 1:00pm ET (12:00pm CT) tipoff on the SEC Network.
The Vols (8-6, 1-1 SEC) maintained its perfect home record and snapped a three-game losing streak in SEC home openers with a victory over SEC rival Florida on Wednesday night. Led by 26 points from Kevin Punter Jr. and 17 points from Admiral Schofield, Tennessee led by as many as 30 en route to an 83-69 victory over the Gators. The 14-point win was the largest by UT over UF since 2009 when the Vols grabbed a 16-point victory.
Clarksville, TN – On December 23rd Austin Peay State University officially announced the hire of 30-year-old Will Healy as the 19th head football coach in school history, but it’s not the first time the school has gone with a very young head coach for the program.
In 1979 Austin Peay hired its then 10th head coach, a 29-year-old Watson Brown to replace James ‘Boots’ Donnelly, in hopes to continue a streak of winning seasons – which included the only Ohio Valley Conference title in the program’s history in 1977.

Clarksville, TN – A small but talented contingent of Austin Peay State University track and field team members will compete at the 106th Drake Relays, April 23-25, in Des Moines, Iowa at Drake Stadium.
Atlanta, GA – James “Boots” Donnelly, the only coach to lead Austin Peay State University football to an Ohio Valley Conference championship was inducted into the 2013 National Football Foundation (NFF) Division College Hall of Fame, Wednesday night.
The enshrinement ceremony was held at Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta. It was the first time the event was held in Atlanta, the new home of the Hall of Fame.
New York – Austin Peay State University (APSU) head coach Carrie Daniels was one of 35 coaches invited to attend the second session of the The Center for Coaching Excellence, last week, on the campus of Columbia University.
