Dickson, TN – The Renaissance Center’s Children’s and Adult Choirs have slated their Spring Concerts for Tuesday, May 7th (Children’s Choirs) and Thursday, May 9th (Adult Choirs). Tickets to both concerts are $5.00 and help support the choir programs, which are free to participate.
Tickets may be purchased the night of the events. Both the Children’s and Adult Choirs are directed by Chris Greene with piano accompaniment by Marianna Wakeman.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University will have an open house at The Renaissance Center in Dickson to help prospective students learn more about degree and course offerings.

Creative License brings a new season to Tennessee PBS Stations

Dickson, TN – From Tennessee’s major cities, to its small towns and communities, the TV program, Creative License, has brought viewers engaging stories about some of our state’s greatest natural resources – its artists.
In its past seasons, Creative License presented a number of one hour specials populated by sculptors, painters, fiddle makers, storytellers, metal smiths, musicians, and every other kind of artist in between.

Exceptional Talent and Art from Middle Tennessee Students
Dickson, TN – The Tennessee Art Education Association (TAEA) and The Renaissance Center have partnered again to present the 5th Annual Middle Tennessee Regional Student Art Exhibition, featuring exceptional artwork created by middle and high school students from Middle Tennessee.
The exhibit is on display at The Renaissance Center through January 11th, 2013. A free Reception and Awards Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, December 1st, 4:00pm–7:00pm.

Impressive New Exhibitions Explore Man’s Relationship with Nature at the Renaissance Center

The Public is Invited to a Free Reception on Friday, October 19th
Dickson, TN – The Renaissance Center is excited to present five new and impressive art exhibits that explore man’s relationship with nature, good and bad, simple and complicated.
Visitors to The Renaissance Center can’t miss Alan LeQuire’s impressive “Dream Forest” exhibit in the Rotunda, featuring nine 12-foot high interpretive human torsos assembled as a tree-like forest. Visitors can also walk amongst the colossal sculptures and read the poetic “dreams” inscribed on the pieces.
 Visitors to The Renaissance Center can’t miss Alan LeQuire’s impressive “Dream Forest” in the Rotunda, which they can walk amongst and read the “dreams” inscribed on the 12-foot high torso trees.

Beatles 50th Anniversary Celebration Concert at The Renaissance Center

The Beatles are coming to Dickson! The WannaBeatles that is.
Dickson, TN – In the wake of the London Olympics and all things British, The Renaissance Center will celebrate one of Great Britain’s most beloved exports, The Beatles, as the 2012 calendar marks the 50 Year Anniversary of the Beatles!
Joining in on the fun are The WannaBeatles, one of the best Beatles tribute bands in the country, for a concert and Beatles-related activities scheduled for Saturday, August 25th, 7:00pm. Pre-concert activities include several musical acts in the center’s rotunda and a showing of Laser Beatles in the Cybersphere Digital Theatre.

Unique Camp comes to The Renaissance Center that lets Kids become Rock Stars

Students Create Bands & Take the Stage at The Renaissance Center in Dickson, TN
Dickson, TN – The Renaissance Center is excited to offer the area’s first RockSTAR Camp, offering kids ages 6 – 14 the chance to form a band, create a CD and take the stage like a real rock star in a concert performance at The Renaissance Center.
The week-long RockSTAR Camp is presented by STAR Education, a non-profit after-school music education program formed in Los Angeles, CA in response to school budget cuts that eliminated music programs.
The programs are now available across the country and receive support and participation from celebrities and music professionals, including Britney Spears, Adam Lambert, Rod Stewart, Carlos Santana, and Gene Simmons, just to name a few.
 RockStar Camp comes to The Renaissance Center in Dickson.
