Featuring Trailer Choir, charting the Billboard Hot Country Charts with songs like “Rockin’ the Beer Gut” and “What Would You Say.”

Openers include Aaron Lessard, a solo artist based in Nashville, known for having a heavy jazz influence and U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Chris Turner, a singer/ songwriter from Ninety Six, South Carolina.

Visit Clarksville announces Street Closures for High Roller Criterium, May 19th

 

Visit Clarksville TennesseeClarksville, TN – Several downtown streets will close and the transit service will be temporarily relocate on Saturday, May 19th, 2018 when Clarksville hosts its first High Roller Criterium (crit).

The Clarksville Transit System will be staging on Cooper Place and Academy Avenue behind Cumberland Bank & Trust (off of Madison Street) during the event.

Clarksville-Montgomery County honors Fallen Officers at Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony today

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County law enforcement memorial ceremony was held today at the Clarksville Police Department as part of National Police Week which pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers, locally and across the nation, who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others.

It also serves as time to remember all the other officers who passed away over the years who dedicated their lives to serving our community.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony set for Saturday, May 14th

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The 2018 National Police Week (NPW) is May 13th through May 19th. The local Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony will be held May 14th, 2018, 10:30am at Clarksville Police Headquarters, 135 Commerce Street. The public is invited to attend.

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed Public Law 87-726 designating May 15th as Peace Officers’ Memorial Day, and the week in which May 15th falls as National Police Week.

City of Clarksville announces Main Street traffic signals to come down Friday

 

Stop signs will go up at Second, Third street intersections

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Traffic signals at two Main Street intersections will be replaced with stop signs Friday in an ongoing effort to calm vehicular traffic in downtown Clarksville and make it more pedestrian-friendly.

The work will be on Main Street at Second and Third streets and may include temporary closing of the intersections and detouring of local traffic on Friday, March 9th, 2018. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible that day.

Clarksville’s Public Art Trail filled with Murals, Sculptures, Fountains and Flames

 

Visit Clarksville TennesseeClarksville, TN – Clarksville unveiled its 21st public art piece this month. Twelve of the pieces – at least – are in a proximity that’s easily walkable within the city’s downtown core.

Murals, sculptures, fountains, and flames are among the art pieces you’ll see showcased along city streets, urban trails, buildings and throughout the campus of Austin Peay State University, which is adjacent to downtown. Many of the works were designed or created by Clarksville artists.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade set for November 11th

 

Montgomery County Veterans Service OrganizationMontgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade will take place on Saturday, November 11th, 2017 with pre-parade ceremonies set for 9:00am in front of the historic courthouse (south side) on Third Street in downtown Clarksville.

Keynote speaker is Army retired Chief Warrant Officer 3 John Clement, who currently serves as the Field Representative for Congressman Marsha Blackburn representing the 7th Congressional district of Tennessee.

Clarksville Gas and Water reports South Second Street Lane Closure

 

Thursday, August 10th, 2017

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGW​Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water is currently performing a water main repair on Main Street between Second Street and Third Street. Water service is not expected to be disrupted during the repair. Main Street is also closed between Second Street and Third Street.

The water main repair is anticipated to be finished and the lanes reopened by approximately 3:00pm.
