Nashville Sounds beat Albuquerque Isotopes 4-3 in bottom of the 9th

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – Edwin Maysonet hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Nashville Sounds a 4-3 victory over the Albuquerque Isotopes on Monday night at Greer stadium.

The last at-bat victory was Nashville’s 15th of the season, which also snapped a four-game losing streak.

With the scored tied at 3-3 entering the bottom of the ninth, outfielder Khris Davis worked a leadoff walk, moved to second on a sacrifice bunt, advanced to third on a infield groundout, and came home on Maysonet’s hit to score the game-winning run in his Sounds debut.

Nashville Sounds get thumped by the Albuquerque Isotopes 13-3

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Albuquerque Isotopes rapped out 17 hits en route to a 13-3 defeat of the Nashville Sounds on Saturday evening at Greer Stadium in front of 9,249 fans in the opener of a five-game series.

Third baseman Alex Castellanos belted a pair of homers and drove in five runs and Jerry Sands went 4-for-6, including a longball, to pace the Isotopes offense.

Trailing 2-1 with two outs in the top of the sixth inning, Albuquerque erupted for 12 runs over the final four frames.

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds split a doubleheader against the Albuquerque Isotopes on Sunday evening at Greer Stadium to wrap up a rain-shortened series. The Sounds won the exciting opener, 2-1, and dropped a heart-breaking twinbill finale, 8-5.

Albuquerque took two of three from the Sounds in the rain-shortened series. Nashville split a doubleheader for the fifth time in 2012 and moved to 5-7 overall in doubleheader action.

In the opener, Logan Schafer belted a pair of homers, including a walkoff blast in the seventh inning, to power the Sounds to a 2-1 victory.

Nashville SoundsAlbuquerque, NM – The Nashville Sounds were handed a 7-3 defeat by the Albuquerque Isotopes in the finale of a four-game series on Tuesday afternoon at Isotopes Park.

After winning the opener on Saturday, Nashville dropped to 13-30 on the road after dropping the next three games to lose the series to the Isotopes. The Sounds held a lead in all four games.

Nashville Sounds Unable To Complete Late Comeback As Series Evens At One Apiece

Nashville SoundsAlbuquerque, NM – Scott Van Slyke’s seventh-inning RBI double gave Albuquerque its first lead of the night and propelled the Isotopes to a 4-2 victory over the Nashville Sounds on Sunday evening at Isotopes Park.

The loss dropped Nashville (31-46) to just 2-15 in games decided by two runs this season. The Sounds had runners on base in every inning except the fourth but were only able to get a run to the plate in the third frame.

Bianchi Plates Winning Run in Nashville Debut

Nashville SoundsAlbuquerque, NM – The Nashville Sounds edged Albuquerque, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon at Isotopes Park to snap a three-game losing streak.

First baseman Sean Halton enjoyed a solid day at the dish for the Sounds, going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles. Eric Farris and Hainley Statia added two-hit efforts for Nashville in the win.

The Sounds (9-20) got onto the board first, taking a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning when Halton ripped an RBI double to the left-center wall off Albuquerque starter Michael Antonini to plate Statia, who preceded him by drawing a walk.

Nashville Sounds drop opener to Albuquerque Isotopes

 

Nashville SoundsAlbuquerque, NM – Starting pitcher Stephen Fife threw seven scoreless innings of three-hit ball as the Nashville Sounds dropped an 8-1 defeat to the Albuquerque Isotopes on Friday night in the opener of a four-game series at Isotopes Park.

Holding the Sounds to one hit through the first five innings and retiring a stretch of 11 straight at one point in the contest, Fife (3-2) set a season-high with seven strikeouts for the victory and extended his scoreless streak to 13 innings over his last two starts.
