101st Airborne Division holds inactivation ceremony for 159th Combat Aviation Brigade at Fort Campbell

Fort Campbell, KY – Soldiers, families and friends of the 159th Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), gathered at the division parade field here, May 7th to conduct the final official ceremony in the brigade’s history.
After 18 years of service, the 159th CAB colors were cased at the ceremony by Col. Jimmy Blackmon, the final brigade commander of the 159th CAB “Thunder Brigade,” and retired Col. Bob Freeman, the honorary colonel of the brigade, signifying a conclusion to the legacy of this historic aviation unit.

In America, this type of establishment is simply referred to as a thrift store, but in England, these shops tend to be a little swankier.
“What we think of as a thrift store is not really the same as their thrift stores,” Tracy Nichols, Austin Peay State University communication instructor, said. “Some of their stores are like upscale, New York boutiques.”
Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County to present donation to Austin Peay State University for Caribbean project
Clarksville, TN – Earlier this month, a group of 22 Austin Peay State University students traveled to the Caribbean nation of Trinidad and Tobago to build three houses for Habitat for Humanity.

Clarksville, TN – For the second year in a row, a group of Austin Peay State University students spent their spring break in the Caribbean nation of Trinidad and Tobago on an intensive service trip.
This year’s group of 22 students traveled with Dr. Matthew Kenney, director of APSU’s President’s Emerging Leaders Program (PELP), to the small town of Valencia, where they spent a week building three houses with Habitat for Humanity.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University recently launched the inaugural APSU Goes Global program, an international service-learning opportunity now open to juniors in the President’s Emerging Leaders Program (PELP) and TRiO Student Support Services.
APSU Goes Global is led by Dr. Matthew Kenney, director of the President’s Emerging Leaders Program and associate professor of political science.
Group A Games at LP Field and Group B Games at The Home Depot Center
Chicago, IL – Individual game tickets for the group matches of 2012 Men’s Olympic Qualifying in Nashville, TN and Carson, CA, will go on sale starting at 10:00am local time on Wednesday, January 25th.
The U.S. U-23 MNT will play all of its group matches at LP Field in Nashville. The team was drawn into Group A in the 2012 CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Tournament and opens group play against Cuba on March 22nd at 8:00pm CT.
