Four Retailers Agree to Stop Sale and Voluntarily Recall Nap Nanny Recliners Due to Five Infant Deaths

Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and four major retailers are announcing a voluntary recall to consumers who own Nap Nanny® recliners made by Baby Matters, LLC of Berwyn, PA.

Retailers currently participating include Amazon.com, Buy Buy Baby, Diapers.com and Toys R Us/Babies R Us. At the request of the CPSC, these retailers have agreed to voluntarily participate because the manufacturer is unable or unwilling to participate in the recall.

Good Samaritan blesses two students

Clarksville, TN – Two students enrolled in the LEAP Youth Development program were blessed with a $250.00 Toys R Us gift card from a Good Samaritan that prefers to remain anonymous.

In the midst of an economic climate that threatened to put a damper on Christmas cheer for the children, this act of kindness uplifted their spirits and restored their mother’s faith in a community that cares.

Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. In the center of the top, there is a sphere with beads inside that can be released posing a choking hazard.

Yonkers, NY – Black Friday weekend and Cyber Monday may have seen record-high sales this year, but 36 percent of Americans who say they plan to give gifts have yet do any holiday shopping at all, according to the latest Consumer Reports Holiday Poll.

Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. Eddie Bauer Rocking Wood Bassinets recalled because the bottom locking mechanism can fail to lock properly if a spring is not installed, allowing the bassinet to tip to one side and cause infants to roll to the side of the bassinet.
