101st Airborne headquarters deploying to Afghanistan in 2010

101st Airborne Divison at Fort CampbellFort Campbell – The commanding general of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) announced today that the division headquarters will deploy to Afghanistan in mid-2010.

The deployment will affect more than 700 Soldiers stationed at Fort Campbell, according to Maj. Gen. John F. Campbell, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) commander.
