Twenty tournaments later Austin Peay State University men’s golf team saw its streak of Top 5 finishes end, Tuesday, during the final day of the Samford Intercollegiate.

After enjoying a shorts-wearing 65-degree practice round, Sunday, Austin Peay State University’s golf team and the other 15 teams entered in the Samford Intercollegiate battled high-20 degree wind chill temperatures, Monday.

Austin Peay State University Men’s Golf head to Alabama for Samford Intercollegiate

Austin Peay State University Governors Sports - APSUClarksville, TN – With nearly two full weeks of practice behind it, Austin Peay State University men’s golf team will participate in its second spring tournament, traveling to Hoover, AL, for the 2014 Samford Intercollegiate.

The two-day, 54-hole tournament (36 holes, Monday; 18 holes, Tuesday) will be played at the Hoover Country Club, on the par-72, 7,001-yard layout with a 136 slope rating.

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s tennis team will keep it in the Midstate area for a pair of weekend matches, at Middle Tennessee and back home against Southern Illinois.

The Lady Govs face the Blue Raiders 2:00pm, Friday, at Nashboro Village in Nashville before returning to the Austin Peay Tennis Center 1:00pm, Saturday, against the Salukis.

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUClarksville, TN - Austin Peay State University’s softball team will open its 2014 regular season this weekend in Mobile, AL, at the University of South Alabama Mardi Gras Invitational.

The Lady Govs, who are coming off an 18-26 season under then first-year head coach Stephanie Parris, will open the invitational 1:15pm, Friday, against McNeese State; followed by a 3:30pm, contest versus Syracuse.
