Clarksville Parks and Recreation early bird registration deadline for 50+ Olympics approaches

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Are you thinking about participating in this year’s 50+ Olympics? Participants who register on or before April 22nd to qualify for the Early Bird Rate of just $20.00. Cost to register April 23rd through May 6th is $25.00.

Registration fee includes complimentary event t-shirt, swag bag, and dinner ticket. Interested participants can register in-person at Clarksville Parks and Recreation, located at 102 Public Square, or at any of our three community centers.

Montgomery County Girls Earn Girl Scout Gold Award

 

Girl Scouts of Middle TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – The Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee congratulates Delaney Powell, Sydney Sabash and Natalie Wieber for earning the Girl Scout Gold Award – the highest achievement in Girl Scouting.

Delaney restructured Montgomery Central’s science lab, which included the development of an inventory system for cabinets and equipment. This has helped to improve efficiency for both teachers and students.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s 50+ Olympics registration going on now

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Adults at least 50-years-old can register now through Monday, May 4th for Clarksville’s 50-Plus Olympics.

This year’s events will be held May 12th-16th at various locations around Clarksville, to include the Pinnacle Bowling Center, Swan Lake Sports Complex, D&D Blacklight Mini Golf, Rossview High School track, and the Crow & Kleeman Community Centers.

Clarksville Police arrest Joshua Atwood for Burglary and Identity Theft

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – After allegedly committing a series of burglaries from Uffelman Estates and fraudulently using the victims credit cards, the suspect Joshua Atwood was taken into custody by Clarksville Police two days later after a vehicle burglary at the YMCA on Hillcrest Drive this morning.

Clarksville Police Officers detained Mr. Atwood in the Memorial Drive area with a Child’s backpack in his possession from the YMCA vehicle burglary, and property from the Uffelman Estates burglaries.
