Clarksville, TN – The 2013 Rivers & Spires Festival walked away from the 58th Annual International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) Convention with five more awards to add to its already impressive, and ever-growing, collection.
The 2013 IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards were announced on September 16th at the IFEA Convention & Expo in Pittsburgh, PA. Theresa Harrington, Executive Director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), Doug Barber, Special Events Manager, and Jessica Goldberg, Director of Tourism, were all in attendance to accept the awards.
Fort Campbell, KY – Come out and celebrate Oktoberfest with us on September 28th at Sportsman’s Lodge. We’re having a German festival complete with polka music, fun games, dancing, German food and German beer. Wear your lederhosen, dirndls and hats or come as you are.
The festival is open to all ages from 11:00am to 6:00pm. Starting at 6:00pm, the festival will be inside Sportsman’s Lodge for ages 18 and over with dueling pianos as entertainment; food and beverages will be available for purchase. The adult portion runs from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

Fort Campbell, KY - Come out to Fort Campbell and celebrate Independence Day at the USAA and Fort Campbell MWR Independence Carnival. The 2013 carnival will feature Belle City Amusement carnival rides, skill games and traditional carnival food and drinks from Tuesday, July 2nd through Saturday, July 6th.
The midway, located adjacent to the Division Parade Field, will include 20 major adult rides; 12 children’s rides; 8 food concessions; and 25 skill games.
Adult rides will cost four tickets and children’s rides will cost three tickets. If a wristband or discount sheet of tickets is not desired; individual tickets can be purchased for $1.00 per ticket.
Clarksville, TN – The Go Commando Half Marathon & 5k, powered by CDE Lightband, is back for a third year, bringing with it new activities and enhanced features. Runners will take to the streets of Historic Downtown Clarksville Saturday, October 19th, 2013.
But those interested in running are encouraged to register early online at www.gocommandoclarksville.com, as the event is only open to the first 2,000 participants.
