Columbia, MO – Coming off two impressive tournament championships in as many weeks, Austin Peay State University men’s golf team will close out its regular-season schedule, Monday and Tuesday, when it travels into mid-Missouri for the Sixth Annual Columbia Orthopaedic Group-Mizzou Tiger Intercollegiate, to be played at The Club of Old Hawthorne.

This will be the fourth time in the last five seasons the Govs have opened with SEMO, but it will be the first time the two teams will play a divisional game.

High Point also is amidst a losing streak. Its 68-61 loss to Chattanooga, Friday, was its fourth straight.

Chattanooga, TN – Austin Peay State University‘s defensive struggles continued to make December a forgettable month.
Utah Valley shot 61 percent from the floor and scored on eight of its last nine possessions to pull away late to defeat the Governors, 84-77, in first-round play of the Dr. Pepper Classic, being played at McKenzie Arena.

Clarksville, TN – This is the 23rd Annual Dr. Pepper Classic, hosted by Chattanooga. This is the Austin Peay Governors Basketball’s second tourney appearance. The Governors reached the finals of 2000 Classic.
APSU has never played two-Utah Valley and High Point-of the entrants in this year’s tourney. APSU and Chattanooga have played 18 times previously.

Austin Peay Governors Basketball stuggles late in the game to lose to Illinois State Redbirds 83-57

APSU Sports: Austin Peay Men’s Basketball
Normal, IL – llinois State broke open a tie game with a half-ending 14-2 run as Austin Peay State University fell, 83-57, Saturday afternoon in non-conference basketball action played at Redbird Arena.
The loss was APSU’s fourth straight, dropping the Governors to 4-8 heading into Christmas. Meanwhile, Illinois State, a member of the Missouri Valley, improved to 9-3.

Austin Peay Governors Basketball’s 2012 Schedule features Two Tournaments and several early home games

APSU Sports: Austin Peay Men’s Baseball
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University men’s basketball schedule will feature two tournaments and several early home games along with the new Ohio Valley Conference divisional format for the 2012-13 season.
After opening the 2011-12 season with eight of their first nine games on the road, the Governors will have a more home-friendly slate this season. In fact, APSU will open at home for the first time since the 2003-04 season (Knoxville College) when they play host to Samford, Friday, November 9th.
