Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam recognizes five Veteran State Employees

Nashville TN – Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and First Lady Crissy Haslam joined Tennessee Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner Many-Bears Grinder and Major General Terry “Max” Haston of the Tennessee Military Department today to recognize five veteran state employees and half a million Tennessee veterans of all ages and eras. The Governor’s Veterans Day event was held at the Tennessee Tower Plaza in downtown Nashville.
Sergeant Frank C. Bell, Jr., began his military career in the United States Army in December 1952. The Week of the Eagles Car Show draws in auto enthusiasts of all ages

 Fort Campbell, KY – On Sunday, August 12th the Fort Campbell Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation held the free Week of the Eagles 2012 Car Show at the Post Exchange parking lot from 4:00pm-8:00pm.
There were six classes of cars competing for prizes: Classic, muscle, patriotic, customized, imported, and 4×4 truck. Trophies were awarded for the top three in each class; best in show; and fan favorite.

The 2012 Week of the Eagles Super Saturday Air Show was a real crowd pleaser
Fort Campbell, KY –  For many people the highlight of the Week of the Eagles has got to be the Fort Campbell Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation and Veterans of Foreign Wars Air Show. This aerial extravaganza event drew over 40,000 attendees to Campbell Army Airfield on Saturday.
Things kicked off with the opening ceremonies which consisted of the posting of the colors, and a welcome from Maj. Gen. James C. McConville, the Commanding General of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell, KY; followed by the National Anthem; and performances from the Liberty Jump Team and the 101st Airborne Parachute Demonstration Team, Army’s oldest Parachute Demonstration team

Fort Campbell, KY – On Friday afternoon, August 10th, local media were invited out to Campbell Army Air Field to watch the rehearsal for the Week of the Eagles MWR and VFW Air Show. Clarksville Online was on hand to bring you some photos of what’s in store for you Saturday, August 11th. From what we’ve seen, this is going to be one awesome show.
Gates will open for the Fort Campbell Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation and Veterans of Foreign Wars Air Show at 8:00am at the Campbell Army Air Field here. A Health and Wellness Fair will also begin at 9:00am near the air field.

Gates will open for the Fort Campbell Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation and Veterans of Foreign Wars Air Show at 8:00am at the Campbell Army Air Field here. Fort Campbell’s MWR Recognizes 2011 Sponsors
Fort Campbell, KY – Fort Campbell and the Fort Campbell MWR held at a special reception last night to recognize those businesses and individuals made all of the events they offered during 2011 possible. MWR sponsors provide support either by monetary sponsorships or in-kind trades.
