Indoor Aquatic Center to have new Climbing Wall Feature
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department invites you to enjoy the Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, this fall and winter! The Indoor Aquatic Center opens its doors for the Indoor Season on Monday, October 1st.
Enjoy a day of free admission, refreshments and free Wibit and Aqua Climb access on Opening Day from 7:00am to 12:00pm and 3:00pm until 8:00pm.

Clarksville, TN – Don’t miss the first day of Indoor Swimming Season this Saturday, October 1st! The Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, opens its doors for the season at 10:00am.

Mayor to Announce Fitness Council Members

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan will announce members of the Mayor’s Fitness Council at a July fitness event at 5:00pm Wednesday at Smith Pool.

Free Pool Membership to be Given Away at the Indoor Aquatic Center Grand Opening

Clarksville, TN – The New Providence Pool, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, has a new look and new name. After weeks of work and just hours of inflation, the pool is now sheltered with a bubble like dome which will allow for year-round use of the Indoor Aquatic Center.
The “Dive in the Dome” grand opening is still scheduled for tomorrow, January 29th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm but due to snow and frigid temperatures, the inflation of the dome was delayed from its schedule this week and visitors looking to take a swim will experience much cooler water temperatures than expected. «Read the rest of this article»

Parks and Recreation Report
Pools Now Open- NEW Swim Classes Available. The first session of swim classes began, June 14th.
This year we are offering Senior Splash which consists of a 45 minute workout for those ages 50 and up. This class combines gentle, yet effective aerobic exercises to help tone and strengthen muscles. Basic Water Aerobics is also available for anyone ages 18 and up. This 45 minute class is aimed at improving tone, strength and mobility.
