With 31 home contests lining the schedule, Austin Peay fans will have plenty of chances to get out to the Dunn Center to see both second-year head coach David Midlick‘s women’s team and the defending Ohio Valley Conference Tournament champion APSU men’s basketball team in action.

APSU Women's Golf - Austin Peay State UniversityLedbetter, KY – Austin Peay State University women’s golf saved its best for last at the Drake Creek Invitational, posting a final-round 303 that doubled as its best of the tournament.

Although the 303 was APSU’s best round, the Govs and Southern Illinois were leapfrogged by Murray State’s final-round 294 on their home course, which dropped the Salukis to fifth and the Governors to sixth overall.

APSU Women's Golf - Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s golf opens the fall portion of its 2016-17 campaign with a trip to Ledbetter, Kentucky for the Drake Creek Invitational.

The Govs, who finished fifth in last year’s edition of Murray State’s fall tournament, return a full complement to this year’s event, held at Drake Creek Golf Club—a par-72 measuring out at 6,178 yards.

During regulation with the Govs trailing 1-0, Austin Peay (3-1-0) equalized with a wonder strike by freshman Renee Semaan in the 87th minute.

APSU Women's Volleyball - Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team battled out of the gate in its home opener but could not keep pace with No. 19 Western Kentucky in a three-set loss (21-25, 14-25, 14-25), Tuesday night at the Dunn Center.

Austin Peay (2-2) was able to keep pace in a wide open offensive first set that saw the teams combine for 36 kills.

APSU Soccer - Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – In front of hundreds of fans at Governors FanFest, Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team defeated Evansville 2-0, Sunday, in its home opener at Morgan Brothers Soccer Field.

The Govs improved to 3-0 on the year, the hottest start to a season since 2013 which also saw the program win three-straight to open.
