Columbia, MO – No. 12 Tennessee put together a complete performance to knock No. 20 Missouri from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 71-55 victory on Monday night at Mizzou Arena.
The Lady Vols (10-3) held the Tigers to a season-low 55 points and 2-for-21 shooting from 3-point range to open Southeastern Conference play with a victory for the second consecutive year.
With the win, UT improved to 3-2 against ranked opponents this season and extended its winning streak to three games.

Knoxville, TN – No. 8/8 Tennessee fell to Virginia Tech, 57-43, on Sunday afternoon in the final contest of an eight-game homestand to open the season.
The Hokies (7-1) held the Lady Vols to a season-low 43 points on just 31 percent shooting. The big difference came from behind the arc as Virginia Tech finished 9-19 from 3-point range while UT was held to a season-worst 1-19 from long range.
Virginia Tech guard Vanessa Panousis led all scorers with 21 points including 5-8 shooting from beyond the arc.
Nineteen of 29 games feature teams with postseason action in 2014-15
Knoxville, TN – Tennessee released its 2015-16 women’s basketball schedule Thursday evening, and the defending SEC co-champion Lady Vols will open the season playing their first eight regular-season games at home for the first time in school history.
Head coach Holly Warlick’s squad, which is set to debut vs. first-time opponent Central Arkansas on November 15th, enters the campaign on a 22-game home winning streak. The Lady Vols set a program record by forging an 18-0 mark while playing on The Summitt a year ago.

Nashville, TN – Belmont University men’s basketball will face national power Virginia (29-3) of the ACC Conference in the second round of the 2015 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship.
Belmont received a No. 15 seed and will face the second-seeded Cavaliers Friday from Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, NC.

Belmont (22-10) – making its seventh NCAA Tournament appearance in 10 years – will represent the Ohio Valley Conference for the second time in three years.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University men’s basketball team has gone international for two of its first three signees of the 2014 spring recruiting period while the third comes from just a short drive down the road.
Assane Diop (ah-san jop), a 6-8, 230-pound forward who hails from Dakar, Senegal, and played junior college basketball at Cloud Community College in Concordia, Kansas, has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at APSU.
