Land Between The Lakes, KY/TN – Woodlands Nature Station, at Land Between the Lakes, hosts Homeschoolers’ Day on Friday, April 28th, from 10:00am-3:00pm. Home educators and their families can spend a day learning all about trees and forest habitats. A two-hour visit is recommended and everyone is welcome.

Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Homeschooler families are invited to use Woodlands Nature Station as their outdoor classroom in April at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area.
Visitors can pick up a “Nature Discovery Activity Book” to guide them through exploration activities such as a pond exploration, bird identification, and animal math. Complete activities to earn an official Nature Discovery Patch and certificate. Nature Station is open 10:00am-5:00pm, daily in April.
Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – The Wizardry World of Harry Potter visits Woodlands Nature Station during Spring Break, March 22nd through April 7th, at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. Programs for all ages will be offered daily and included with general admission: ages 13 and up $5.00; ages 5-12 $3.00; ages 4 and under free.
“What could be more fun than combining learning about nature with Harry Potter,” said Aviva Yasgur, Naturalist at the Nature Station. “These programs offer fun for the whole family, while providing valuable learning experiences, too.”
Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Woodlands Nature Station will host Girl Scout Day on March 25th, from 10:00am-3:00pm, at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. Hands-on activities, live animal programs, scavenger hunts, guest presenters, and more will help Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, and Cadettes earn badge and journey requirements. Everyone is welcome.
General admission covers all programs and activities: $5.00 ages 12 and up, $3.00 ages 5-12, free for ages 4 and under. Everyone is welcome.
Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Educational Field Trip Grants offer public schools an opportunity to visit Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area for the 2017-2018 school year. Educators must apply by Friday, April 28th, 2017.
Field Trip Grants assist schools in covering: costs for facility admission fees at Woodlands Nature Station, Homeplace 1850s Working Farm, and Golden Pond Planetarium; program costs; and dorm rental at Brandon Spring Group Center during the 2017-2018 school year.
Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Visitor facilities at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area began late fall and winter operation schedules in November.
Homeplace 1850s Working Farm and Woodlands Nature Station will offer various guided programs, including the popular Bald Eagle Van and River Cruise Tours. Starting November 25th, Planetarium visitors will experience vivid laser lights set to holiday music and other holiday shows digitally projected on a 40-foot dome. Groups of 10 or more can make reservations any time by calling 270.924.2020.
Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area has opened the camping reservation system to accept early reservations for August 14th-August 23rd, 2017. A total solar eclipse will occur in the region on Monday, August 21st, 2017.
“We want to support our local communities and visitors who want to be here to experience this unusual astronomical event,” says Jeff Laird, Customer Service Manager at Land Between the Lakes.
Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Trick or treat on the “wild side” at the 22nd Annual Howl-O-Ween program, Saturday, October 22nd, from 1:00pm-4:30pm at Woodlands Nature Station in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area.
Tickets go on sale at 12:00pm and cost $5.00 per person ages 5 and up, free for ages 4 and under. Nature Station admission included with purchase. First tour leaves at 1:00pm; last tour leaves at 4:00pm.
Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – The Land Between the Lakes Woodlands Nature Station invites families to join in the fun from 10:00am-5:00pm at the Outdoor Kids Festival Saturday and Sunday, October 8th and 9th.
Spend Columbus Day Weekend learning outdoor skills, from learning about venomous animals to practicing fishing skills, at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. Nature Station admission is $5.00 ages 13 and up, $3.00 ages 5-12, and free for ages 4 and under.

Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – On August 6th through August 7th, 2016, Land Between the Lakes will hold their 20th annual Hummingbird Festival at the Nature Station. The cost is ages 13 and up $7.00, ages 5-12 $5.00 and ages 4 and under Free
