Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office announces School Resource Officers Division receives new Mascot

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is proud to announce the newest member to the School Resource Officers (SRO) Division. Mascot “Copper the K-9” has officially reported for duty.

Sergeant Carlos Silva and SRO Chad Smith discussed having an official mascot at the beginning of the school year. Deputy Smith, who already owned a K-9 costume, said he would be willing to donate his costume to the SRO Division. After long discussions and planning sessions between Smith, Silva, and Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson, the mascot was developed.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports Nonviolent inmate Christopher Poore walks off work detail

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – A nonviolent inmate has walked off of a work detail in the Woodlawn, TN area, west of Purple Heart Parkway.

Deputies are currently searching the area of Highway 79/Dover Road between Lylewood Road and Lake Road.

Christopher Alan Poore, 21, is a white male, 6’0, 135 lbs with short blonde hair and brown eyes. Poore is a nonviolent offender. He is serving time for theft of property and criminal trespass.

Clarksville Montgomery County School System announces Administrative Appointments

 

Clarksville-Montgomery County School System - CMCSSMontgomery County, TN – Assistant principals for Woodlawn Elementary School and Northwest High School have been selected.

Northwest’s new assistant principal is Jessica Peppard, who has served as academic coach for Northwest and Northeast High Schools. She will replace Marlon Heaston, who has been named principal of Kenwood Middle. Christina Irwin has been appointed assistant principal at Woodlawn, replacing Jennifer Silvers who was named principal of the school.

Mrs. Silvers has been assistant principal at Woodlawn since 2008.

Clarksville-Montgomery County School System - CMCSSMontgomery County, TN – Dr. Bryan Johnson, who is serving as director of high schools for CMCSS, has been named Chief Academic Officer.  Dr. Johnson, who earned his doctorate from Trevecca Nazarene University, served as principal of Northwest High School for two years and was assistant principal of West Creek High School for two years.
