Nashville Predators sign 2012 Draft Pick Marek Mazanec

Nashville, TN - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has signed 2012 sixth-round draft pick Marek Mazanec (MAIR-ehk muh-ZAN-ehk) to a two-year entry-level contract. Mazanec is expected to spend his first season in North American in 2013-14.

Nashville, TN - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has signed 2011 second-round draft pick Miikka Salomäki (MEE-kah SA-loh-MA-kee) to a three-year entry-level contract.
Salomäki, 21 (3/9/93), has spent the last three seasons with Karpat Oulu of the Finnish Elite League, amassing 50 points (25g-25a) and 153 penalty minutes in 122 games. «Read the rest of this article»
Nashville Predators recall three from Milwaukee Admirals
Nashville, TN - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forwards Daniel Bång (DAN-yehl BOHNG), Kevin Henderson and Austin Watson from Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) under emergency conditions.
Bång, 25 (4/19/87), has played in Nashville’s last five games – his first five NHL contests – recording two points (2a). The Kista, Sweden native has 22 points (9g-13a) in 53 games for the Admirals during his first North American season. Prior to signing with the Predators last summer, the 6-3, 201-pound power forward spent six seasons with AIK’s senior team, posting 121 points (60g-61a) in 258 games. «Read the rest of this article»
Nashville Predators host Vancouver Canucks at Bridgestone Arena
Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators and Vancouver Canucks meet for the third and final time this season on Monday night at Bridgestone Arena with the Predators in search of their first win of the season against British Columbia’s team.
Last time these teams met on March 14th, 2013, Vancouver used five goals in the first 35 minutes of play to claim a 7-4 win at Rogers Arena. Matt Halischuk posted a goal and an assist for the Predators, while Mike Fisher, Nick Spaling and Gabriel Bourque all found the back of the net. In their first matchup of 2012-13 on February 22nd, 2013, Pekka Rinne stopped 23-of-24 shots, but the Canucks prevailed, 1-0.

Nashville Predators report Filip Forsberg joins teams Active Roster
