Land Between The Lakes Facilities Re-open for 2013 Season

Golden Pond, KY – Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area begins its 2013 operations on Friday, March 1st, by opening several popular visitor attractions.
The Homeplace, Woodlands Nature Station, and North and South Welcome Stations open their doors March 1st, along with Energy Lake, Hillman Ferry and Piney Campgrounds. Land Between the Lakes to Waive Fees in Honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Golden Pond, KY – Monday, January 21st, Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area will be waiving fees at participating day-use facilities in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. General admission to the Elk and Bison Prairie will be free and Wranglers Campground will also be waiving day-use riding fees.

Land Between the Lakes Administrative Office and Golden Pond Visitor Center Holiday Schedule
Golden Pond, KY – The Golden Pond Visitor Center at Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area will be open from 9:00am-3:00pm on Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24th, and remain closed on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25th.

Land Between the Lakes Begins 2013 Seasonal Camping Program Process
Golden Pond, KY – Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area is now accepting applications for the 2013 seasonal camping program.
There are a total of 113 campsites in the seasonal camping program available for two to nine months at Hillman Ferry, Piney, and Wranglers campgrounds. Fenton, Cravens Bay, Taylor Bay, and Redd Hollow campgrounds have a total of 31 short-term (one to six months) sites available. «Read the rest of this article»

Golden Pond, KY – Experience the heart-pounding excitement of an old-fashioned rodeo at the 16th Annual Grand Jubilee and Primitive Rodeo July 20th-21st at Wranglers Campground in Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area.
Bring the family to enjoy rodeo events, children’s activities, and festival foods. Wranglers Campground is located 5 miles south of Golden Pond Visitor Center.
