Clarksville Street Department offers Yard Debris Pickup

 

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Street Department is again offering to pick up yard debris, leaves and limbs.

Clarksville Street Department Fall Yard Debris Pick Up

 

November 1st – November 30th, 2012

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Street Department will pick up your yard debris if it is in paper yard bags and if your branches/limbs are less than 3 feet long. All of your yard debris needs to be stacked in your yard close to the street.

Road closing and clean up

 

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Street Department has closed Ashbury Road from Shannon Street to Shawnee Terrace because of high water. Also Shawnee Terrace is closed from Saratoga Road to Ashbury Road.

Street Department Director David Shepard said the street flooding is caused by a nearby sinkhole that fills with water during heavy rains. The closure is expected to continue overnight. «Read the rest of this article»

Spring clean-up: City offers yard debris pick-up

 

leaves-rakeCity of Clarksville will offer yard debris pick-up March 30- May 1 as part of a spring clean-up initiative. Citizens are asked to put the items that they would like to have picked-up close to the road. Items to be removed must be in biodegradable paper bags or cardboard boxes.

Yard debris is defined as normal yard waste such as grass clippings, leaves, limbs and etc. Tree limbs must be 4-foot in length or less. Tree limbs left from tree pruning by a commercial company will not be accepted.

If you have yard debris that you would like to have picked up, please call the Clarksville Street Department at 645-7464.

The City of Clarksville will offer a yard debris pick-up through December 1. Citizens are asked to put the items that they would like to have picked-up close to the road, then  call the street department to notify them that you need your debris picked up. Street Department office hours are Mon. – Fri. from 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at  (931)645-7464.
