This weeks highlights include: Christmas in Occupied Clarksville, Swim with Santa, Santa’s Elves to Visit Crow Community Center, Christmas on the Cumberland and Free Activities, 2014 Queen City Road Race Art Contest and Indoor Soccer for Youth.

Crow Community Center offers Indoor Soccer for youth

 

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The Crow Community Center’s Indoor Soccer league kicks off January 5th! The 8-week league is open to ages 4-12 years and will teach the fundamentals of soccer.

Games will be held at the Crow Center, located at 211 Richview Road, every Saturday beginning January 5th.  Ages 4-6 will play at 9:00am, ages 7-9 will play at 10:00am and ages 10-12 will play at 11:00am each week. «Read the rest of this article»

Start the new year with Parks and Recreation fitness programs

 

Dnews PodfitnessMake your New Year’s Resolution to stop in at one of our community centers to get back into shape for the spring.  Our community centers are equipped with weight rooms, treadmills and stationary bikes for all of your fitness needs.  And now that we have ushered the New Year in, it’s time to get back to our regular schedules at the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department.

The Community Centers will be back on their winter hour schedules starting Tuesday, January 6th.  All classes and regular programming will also resume their regular time slots starting Tuesday.  If you forgot what our winter hours are and what classes are being offered, go to www.cityofclarksville.com/parksandrec and click on the fall and winter Recreation Guide for complete details on each individual community center.
